For a team that has never made it to the summit clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Delhi Capitals (DC) rewrote history as they romped their way to this season's final following an emphatic win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the crucial Eliminator clash.

Delhi were the only franchise to not have reached the IPL final in the last 12 years and they looked at their worst during the 2013-18 period. However, a decisive partnership between captain Shreyas Iyer and coach Ricky Ponting seems to have turned their fortunes around that saw them reach the 2019 Playoffs for the first time in seven years.
