Every year, hundreds of young girls and boys migrate from small towns to bigger cities like Mumbai and Delhi to make it big. Only some of them are able to get through. What does it take to realise a dream? The film ‘Shab’ seems to be asking that question with its intricate mesh of power equations and twisted relationships.

Raveena Tandon plays the sophisticated fashion patron who becomes mentor to a young aspiring model (played by Ashish Bisht). Their relationship is clearly a power structure and is a dark reality of the fashion world.
Before this, films like ‘Fashion’ and ‘Page 3’ have nailed the ugly truth about the posh lives of the rich and famous in the industry. With Onir, who won a national award for his film ‘I Am’, as director, we have high hopes form this one. ‘Shab’ releases in theatres on 30 June 2017.
