Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo moved away from Real Madrid to join Juventus, football fans have longed for the sight where the Portuguese came face-to-face with his biggest nemesis, Lionel Messi, on the field. And, for the first time in two years, the rare opportunity presented itself when Juventus visited Camp Nou on 9th December.
With as many as 11 Ballon d'Or wins in the past 12 years amongst them, Ronaldo and Messi had redefined the Clasico rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid over the past decade. But, those days are long gone.Β
Both the superstars now find themselves in the twilight of their respective careers. But, that still wouldn't have stopped fans from getting glued to the TV screens to watch the two icons in action.
