The ongoing global pandemic has thoroughly overshadowed other aspects of life in the year 2020. While the lockdown protocols and strict regulations restricted people to their homes, it also took a toll on sporting events, denying sportspersons an opportunity to compete.
Just like other sports, cricket, too, took a hit with the majority of the events getting cancelled or postponed earlier this year. Though the cricketing action has returned, the months of inaction has affected the stats of some of the best in the business, including Indian captain Virat Kohli.

On the other hand, Dhoni's reply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter has become this year's most retweeted tweet in Indian sports.
