Diljit Says 'Farmers Are Not Terrorists' & People Roast Him Instead For Spreading Misinformation

Farmers, mostly from Punjab and Haryana, have been holding protests at the Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders of the national capital against the Centre's new farm laws for a while now. Three Bills related to agriculture were passed in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha in September 2020. The Bills were, Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020.

Since then, farmers have been protesting against these laws because they feel that they won’t benefit with the introduction of these new laws. Everything was peaceful till the time, a man threatened that PM Modi will meet the same fate as that of former PM Indira Gandhi. In no time, the entire movement was connected with the Khalistan extremists.

Now, Diljit Dosanjh who has been supporting the farmers and has been tweeting in their favour has rebuked these Khalistani claims, stating that farmers are not terrorists.

This tweet by Diljit Dosanjh has irked people who are roasting him for manipulating the situation and reminding him that no one called farmers terrorists. They are schooling him for not getting his facts right and for spreading misinformation.
