In what has been a career of highest highs and lowest lows, Steve Smith has arguably witnessed it all in international cricket. Arriving on the circuit as a budding leg-spinner, Smith has gone on to become Australia's top batsman since Sir Don Bradman. The 2018 ball-tampering scandal did hand his career and reputation a major blow, but the Aussie made a remarkable return.
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Smith has successfully managed to regain the faith of fans on the back of consistent performances. Stripped of the captaincy, the right-hander seems to have focussed all the attention on his batting which appears to be paying rich dividends to Smith and his team.
