Well, looks like there's a plot twist in the farmers' protest. It's not new information that the farmers' protesting currently are not huge fans of Mukesh Ambani and Jio as Boycott Jio and Boycott Ambani have been top trends ever since the protests started. It's because the billionaire is perceived as the main beneficiary of the recently-enacted farm laws.

Reportedly, Reliance Industries announced that Jio's telecom tower assets had been sold to Brookfield Infrastructure Partners LP of Canada back in September 2020. Apparently, the entire company is now owned by Brookfield and the deal was done for Rs 25,215 crore.

But, Jio will still face a loss as the mobile network does require the towers to work. So, I guess it's a win?
