The level of professionalism when it comes to journalism in India has been questioned several times this year and a video of reporters hounding Kisan leader Rakesh Tikait is the perfect example of that.

The viral video shows him surrounded by reporters who are getting incredibly close to him, even going as far as physically touching him. No personal space allowed, apparently.
One of the reporters stood out because she was getting way too close to comfort in order to ask him questions and it looks very uncomfortable.
The female reporter from Zee News can be seen pushing out other mics and getting closer and closer, even holding him by his shoulder while questioning him.

First of all, don't do that to someone you don't even know and secondly, what the hell happened to social distancing? Did you already forget Amitabh Bachchan saying 'do gazz doori, mask hai zaroori'? Come on, people.
Some people even brought up the very valid point of 'what if you reversed the genders?'. All hell would break loose if a male reporter was touching a woman while trying to report, so why is there no respect for boundaries here?
Exactly.
Imagine a male reporter doing this to a female. Thrown out immediately

— Hari (@harikrishnan_91) December 30, 2020People just forgot that we're still in a freaking pandemic.
After watching this I feel COVID is a state of mind in India like Poverty, Secularism, Development etc etc. https://t.co/9kxjsuiIEC
— Rex Jordan (@rex007king) December 31, 2020It's all kinds of disrespectful.
After too much democracy, presenting too much journalism.
Aise kaun karta hai yaar https://t.co/Dor5ZT6QXh
Perfectly put.
It is more of an intimidating tactics. They use this to hound people who are a problem for the establishment. We saw the same thing with Rhea Chakraborty when SSR case was trending.
— Whifle Puny (@kleptomaniac212) December 30, 2020Silver lining?

— Mukeshinder (@mikejava85) December 30, 2020Shame on you, for real.

Shame on you @ZeeNews pic.twitter.com/SAfH9yLfs6
Sadly, yes.
Yeh reporter hai ya govt ke suicide squad?
That girl is asking the farmer leader to spend his new year at home. She gets money for this?
This is harassment.
He should file a complaint for sexual harassment. This new india journalism should be exposed and taught a lesson https://t.co/OSSYHADGg1
— Varun Tyagi (@VarunTy11764923) December 31, 2020Hmm.
Actually, Zee media had pre planned character assassination agenda of famer leader @RakeshTikaitBKU. @ZeeNews reporters tried to provoke rakesh tikait by pushing & touching but the leader was strong.
I salute you Sir. #StandWithFarmers https://t.co/7iAKcTI2AG
Definitely.
Be careful, this could have take different angle.
Godi media can go to any extent to morph this, edit this, manipulate this and show this clip upside down.
It really is.
Young reporters/juniors should learn to put their foot down and say No when their Editors go cuckoo.Resign if you have to. Something always works out if you are talented & hard working. To be willing party to this kind of bizarre behaviour in the name of reporting is shameful. https://t.co/Z93Cob5AAh
— Smita Sharma (@Smita_Sharma) December 30, 2020It's unacceptable.
What did I just see
Media Houses, how is this even acceptable...??? https://t.co/ELCRv6Msfh

Circus, drama, call whatever but certainly not reporting. Shameful! https://t.co/9M097Om3d1
