Sonu Sood will be next seen in a Bollywood film titled Kisaan. The movie will be helmed by 1999 film, Shool fame E Niwas.

Dream Girl director Raaj Shaandilyaa will produce Kisaan and he took to Twitter to announce the project. 

Calling farmers the pride of our country, he wrote, “Announcing my next Production #Kisaan. @SonuSood in lead. Directed by ENiwas @Eniwas. Produced by Raaj Shaandilyaa.” 

Meanwhile, film trade and analyst Taran Adarsh also took to his Twitter account to confirm the same.

After the film's announcement was made, Amitabh Bachchan was one of the first actors to wish good luck to the team. 

Big B tweeted, “All good wishes to film #Kisaan, directed by #ENiwas and acted by @SonuSood,” to which Sood replied, “Thank you so much sir.”

However, it is still unclear whether the upcoming movie is going to be based on the ongoing farmers' protests or not.

Last year, Sood, known for films like Dabangg, Jodhaa Akbar, and Simmba, catapulted to the national spotlight for his work in helping migrants reach their homes during the lockdown. 

Sood also has other films lined up including Alludu Adhurs, Prithviraj Thamilarasan and Acharya, among others.
