'Gutted' KL Rahul Posts Inspirational Message For His Team India Mates Ahead Of 3rd Test

Losing the 1st Test at the Adelaide Oval, the Indian cricket team made a spectacular comeback in the four-match series following a brilliant eight-wicket win at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). With Ajinkya Rahane at the helm of affairs, India's win in the 2nd Test is now considered to be one of the greatest comebacks in the longest format.

While their turnaround did make the fans back home feel proud, the job is still not done for India. With the series evenly poised at 1-1, the upcoming 3rd Test, slated to begin from 7th January, in Sydney holds key importance for both the teams. While Australia will be eager to return to winning ways, Team India aims to carry their fine form from the 2nd Test into the upcoming clash.

The likes of Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav were already ruled out before KL Rahul became the latest addition to India's injury list after spraining his wrist in the nets. Unable to feature in a single Test, Rahul was expected to find a spot in India's playing XI for the 3rd Test but an untimely injury ruled him out of the series.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announced the playing XI for the 3rd Test. The Indian line-up was met with huge cheers from fans, especially for the arrival of Rohit Sharma.
