We hear bizarre heist stories every now and then, but most of them are still believable. Recently, a heist was reported from Arizona, wherein some thieves broke into the Cottonwood Airport and stole a plane. The local police are now looking for the thieves along with the stolen airplane.

The thieves broke into the airport at midnight on New Year’s Eve by disabling the main gate and forced it open.

The police said in a Facebook post, "The subjects entered the Airport and stole a box trailer which contained an airplane. These subjects also stole airplane parts while inside.”

The loss of theft has been estimated at around $70,000-$80,000. An old picture of the aircraft shows it’s a small red and white aircraft with the tail number – N153PR.

The police have requested people with any information regarding the theft of an airplane to contact the police. Also, if someone wants to stay anonymous, one can contact Yavapai Silent Witness who is offering a reward of up to $450 for information leading to an arrest.
