Fans Hail Matthew Wade For His Sportsmanship After His Lovely Gesture Towards Hanuma Vihari

Matthew Wade might have copped a bit of criticism for his unwarranted remarks against Rishabh Pant at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, but, on Day 2 of the 3rd Test between India and Australia, his lovely gesture for Hanuma Vihari earned plaudits from cricket fans.

Coming out to bat after the dismissal of a well-set Marnus Labuschagne (91), Wade was looking to accelerate the scoring-rate for Australia on the back of some aggressive approach.

The left-hander was seen opting for a couple of sweep shots against Ravindra Jadeja. While it did earn him some quick runs, his brutal sweeps also struck Hanuma Vihari who was fielding at forward short-leg.

A total of three shots from Wade struck Vihari during his brief stay at the crease. After the first sweep shot hit Vihari which, in turn, prompted the physio to come out on the field, Wade immediately showed his concern, going up to check on the Indian fielder.

After getting some treatment from the physio, Vihari returned to his fielding position only to see Wade approaching him and doing a fist-pump in a great act of sportsmanship.
