Rhea Chakraborty made her first public appearance recently post her controversial drugs case related to the death of her former boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

She was seen attending Raghu Ram and wife Natalie Di Luccio's celebration of their son Rhythm’s first birthday.

Raghu’s brother Rajiv Lakshman, his parents and VJ Anusha Dandekar were also present at the birthday bash.

Several photos from Rhythm’s birthday celebrations were shared by Rajiv on social media. Posting photos of himself and Rhea, Rajiv wrote on Instagram, “My girl”.

However, following a wave of particularly nasty comments, Rajiv not only deleted the picture but also turned off the comments and issued an apology.

“I seem to have created unnecessary trouble with my irresponsible choice of words on a post. Rhea is a dear old friend, and I’m happy to meet her again and I wish her well,” Rajiv said in a statement on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Rajiv also shared a picture of himself along with Dandekar. 

Wishing his son on his first birthday, Raghu had written on social media, “Your 1st birthday is a festival for your entire family, little one! This day will always be special to all of us because this is when we met you, my love! #HappyBirthday #BabyRhythm #1stBirthday.” 

For the unversed, Raghu and Natalie tied the knot in December 2018. They welcomed their first child last year on January 8.

Following the death of her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020, Rhea has been facing a turbulent period in her life.

The actress who had to face jail time over her alleged involvement in a drug case, is now out on bail and has been reporting her attendance at the Bandra police station, as part of her agreement.
