In 2020, we learned to get used to the bitter reality of wearing a mask each time we stepped out. Now that we're in 2021, we can't imagine leaving our houses without the mask.
However, the downside of wearing a mask is the fact that it can age you and also irritate your skin, which can subsequently cause pimples and breakouts on your face.

While we don't constantly have to wear a mask, if you're someone who has to step out every day you would want to be wary of how the mask can drastically age your skin.
The ill-effects can be visible in the form of skin rashes, breakouts, and acne caused by direct friction of wearing a mask for a relatively longer duration.
The mask, when worn for longer traps oil, gunk, and sweat that ends making the acne worse. here's what you can do to stop this:

1. Try not to introduce any extreme changes to your skincare regime when you know you're in a routine where you have to constantly wear the mask daily. This might end up doing more harm than good.
2. Cleanse the face with a mild face wash that helps locks in the moisture when you step out.
Also, use a face cream to moisturise the skin so it protects your skin all day long.

3. An anti-acne skincare regime might really work for you if you start to experience more facial acne.
Look for products that are designed to fight breakouts and keep them at bay.

4. Switch to masks that are not made of a material that is too coarse or abrasive. Also, switch to cloth masks, as they provide enough protection and also prove to more soft and gentle for the skin.
Whilst wearing a mask, you can still protect your skin if you know how to.
