Freedom of speech on social media now seems like a far dream and it is only worsening day by day. So, now if you think of complaining against the Bihar government, be ready to answer the cyber police as the government has now announced that serious action will be taken against people and organizations that speak against the government.
According to TOI, this notification was issued by the ADG of Economic Offences Wing, Bihar and it also mentioned that anyone was found making negative comments on social media against the government, ministers, MP’s, MLAs and other government officials would be considered as a cybercrime.

The letter that was released on behalf of the Economic and Cybercrime Department from Bihar Police Headquarters revealed that the wing will offer more information with respect to the offensive social media post that can lead to the initiation of appropriate criminal action.
However, this didn’t sit well with a lot of people including the opposition party. Tejashwi Yadav while talking about the letter announced this sudden change in Bihar he lashed out at CM Nitish Kumar on Twitter and called him ‘Bhishma Pitamah of corruption’ and also called him the weak leader of a corrupt government. While doing so he also challenged the government to arrest him for this very tweet.
He also said, "Protesters can't protest at designated spots. Jail for anyone writing against the government. A common man can't meet opposition leaders with his problems."
Here’s what people on Twitter have to say about this-
Yeh Congress ney kiya hota tou aaj BJp saari jail mein hoti
