Kangana Ranaut has once again managed to grab eyeballs in a new case. She recently reacted as a Mumbai court issued summons to her on Monday for a defamation case against her filed by Javed Akhtar.

She shared the news article which mentioned that she was summoned on Twitter and wrote, “Geedaron ka ek jhund aur ek sherni... mazaa aayega (A pack of jackals and a lioness… this will be fun).”

Recently, Kangana was asked to appear before the Juhu Police. Javed Akhtar had filed a criminal complaint against Kangana Ranaut in November last year before the Andheri metropolitan magistrate for allegedly making defamatory and baseless comments against him in television interviews.

Javed Akhtar had filed a complaint in November 2020 alleging that the actress had made defamatory comments against him while speaking about the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe. He also alleged that she made baseless remarks in her ongoing spat with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan by dragging his name.

Later, his lawyer also sought action against Kangana Ranaut under various sections of the IPC.

The complaint also mentioned that Kangana falsely claimed that Javed Akhtar threatened her to keep silent about her relationship with Hrithik Roshan. These remarks also tarnished Javed Akhtar’s image.

Also, the court had given the police time till Feb 1 to file a report of their probe into the defamation complaint. The police have now submitted a report to the court on Monday. The report stated that the offences alleged needed further investigation and Magistrate RR Khan issued summons to Kangana.
