The Indian Premier League (IPL) quickly became the biggest cash cow for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and is the primary reason for their exponential growth over the years, making it worth a mighty Rs. 14,489.80 crore at the end of the financial year 2018-19, according to reports .
It is therefore obvious that those who make the IPL such a big hit must also be fairly compensated - the players, most of whom earn in crores for playing less than two months of T20 cricket in a year, but how much do the top athletes earn?
