Another international Test, another snub for Kuldeep Yadav as he fails to make it to the Playing XI of the Indian cricket team for the first Test match against England at Chennai.

Fans were rather shocked to see the absence of Yadav’s name in the list of Indian cricketers who will be seen on the field. It is widely believed that his spot was given to 31-year-old Shahbaaz Nadeem at the ninth spot of the India batting lineup.
The ‘Voice of Indian cricket’ Harsha Bhogle broke down why he thinks the decision was made to drop Yadav and bring in Nadeem.
Clearly, England's struggle against Embuldeniya has prompted the selection of Shahbaz Nadeem, a fine, vastly experienced finger spinner. But I wonder what this means for Kuldeep. Clearly the team management doesn't rate him too high at thr moment

“Clearly, England's struggle against Embuldeniya has prompted the selection of Shahbaz Nadeem, a fine, vastly experienced finger spinner. But I wonder what this means for Kuldeep. Clearly the team management doesn't rate him too high at thr moment (sic),” Bhogle tweeted.
Despite the justification, even Bhogle ended up questioning his place in the Indian dressing room and whether the decision-makers refuse to “rate him too high” in the team-rotation at this time.
The fans of the chinaman were also unhappy with the team’s decision and expressed their sorrow in their own ways:

The 26-year old’s last game in an Indian Test jersey was back in January 2019 when he booked a five-wicket haul for himself while playing against the Australians at Sydney and played a huge role in helping his side win their very first Test series Down Under.
Back then, head coach Ravi Shastri had called him “India’s first-choice overseas spinner”.
Even though the spinner was fit and the Men in Blue were struggling to build a decent team to face off the Aussies during the previous series, Yadav did not get the opportunity to see the greens but was a brilliant teammate who rallied behind his boys.
However, he was looking forward to finally getting the chance to make a return to the Playing XI.
“I would not call it challenging, but yes, I did not get opportunities. There was a bit of disappointment for sure, but since the team did well, it did not matter much. I was definitely expecting to play, however, that was not possible due to the team combination. Maybe, I did not fit into the combination, but then, the team put up a brilliant show,” Kuldeep Yadav had told Sportstar after coming back from Australia.
"The way we won the series was outstanding. I believe apna time aayega (my time will come) in the England series, and whenever I get an opportunity, I will try to deliver,” he had added.
