Say what you will about Karan Johar, the man does know how to dress to impress.
Often, you’ll see him in an outfit that invariably turns heads.

Karan is known to be a brand fiend, meaning, that he knows his luxury brands rather well. For example, there was recently this instance when he dressed up from head to toe in pieces from Louis Vuitton.

Well, very recently again, he did something similar, where he was again dressed in pieces from the choices of brands. However, it was his man-purse that got our attention.

Let’s start with his outfit first.
Karan is seen here wearing a rather sick looking camouflage jacket from Dust Of Gods, a pair of dark washed denim, and a black T-shirt.

Along with that, he also has a pair of rather sweet-looking militaristic sneakers from Balenciaga. The mask that he has on, is again from Balenciaga.

The jacket, in particular, is something that is quite catchy. They are a customised piece from Dust Of Gods, a high-end street fashion brand.
They are known for repurposing older clothes and making some zany looking pieces, which cost a bomb.

Because each of their pieces is made using materials that they find, no two pieces of theirs are exactly the same - they all have some minor differences.
The particular jacket that we see Karan wearing is from their Now & Never series, which starts at $1,750 or Rs 1.28 Lakhs. That’s all before taxes and customs duties.

Then there are the sneakers he’s wearing. They are the Triple S sneakers in Military Green from Balenciaga’s 2021 collection, and man, are they a piece of work.
These sneakers retail for $975, or Rs 71,000, plus imports and customs.

We also see a pair of rather dope looking shades from Gucci.

However, the statement piece of his ensemble has to be the bag or the man-purse that he’s carrying.
Karan is seen here with a rather quirky looking piece from Louis Vuitton, which genuinely look as if they were designed for children, thanks to the cartoon embroidered on it.

The bag is an iteration of Louis Vuitton’s Keepall Bandouliere line of bags.
These particular ones are a part of a capsule collection that was designed by the king of streetwear, Virgil Abloh, to commemorate his film, “Zoom With Friends.”

Given that the bag has a very limited production run, and was designed by Abloh himself, the bag costs a bomb.
The murse or the man-purse retails for $3,499 or Rs 2.6 Lakhs. Add to that your regular customs and import duties and you’re looking at a price tag of Rs 3.5-3.8 Lakhs, easily.

If this doesn’t prove that for Karan, it is all about brands, and an unbelievable price tag, then we don’t know what will. The man looks dope though, we have to say.
