We have said this before, and we will say it again - Karan Johar has an expensive taste, and surely knows how to enjoy the finer things in life.

Time and time again, he has shown us that when it comes to fashion and style, luxury brands and A-Level designers are the only things that he cares about. And of course, just how dapper he looks.

Well, Karan gave us yet another example of why we consider him to be a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to luxury fashion brands.

Karan Johar was spotted at the Mumbai Airport decked out from head to toe in some of the choicest brands anyone can think of. However, it was the dope looking children’s school bag that he was carrying that caught our eye.

First, let’s take a look at his outfit.

Karan Johar is seen here wearing a rather dope looking sweatshirt from Philipp Plein. Designed by the German designer, the sweatshirt retails for about $1,560 or roughly Rs 1.12 Lakhs.

Then there are those dope looking sneakers that look like they are straight out of Star Trek. Karan’s wearing the Track.2 Sneakers In Silver Grey from Balenciaga.

The Track.2 sneakers are a favourite among sneakerheads thanks to their rather unique design and “broken” panels, which gives its silhouette a dope aesthetic. The ones that Karan is wearing retails for about $975 or roughly Rs 71,000, before taxes and customs.

The main highlight, or the statement piece of Karan’s outfit, though, has to be the backpack that he’s carrying. Here, we see the Soft Trunk Backpack from Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2021 collection.

Also called the Friends On Zoom collection, some of the components from this collection have zany looking cartoons, all designed by streetwear maestro, Virgil Abloh.

The bag is made of white leather, which has been treated in the quintessential Louis Vuitton manner. It is embossed with the LV monogram and has matching chains and zippers. The colourful cartoons stand out distinctly against the white backdrop.

A bag this exquisite will obviously be expensive. The bag normally retails for $4,950 or Rs 3.6 Lakhs. Add to that your customs and import taxes and you’re looking at a price tag of Rs 5.3 Lakhs easily.

As expensive it is, the bag surely looks dope. But then again, given Karan’s taste and his sense of fashion, is it any surprise?
