Say what you will about Kartik Aaryan, one thing that people cannot deny is the fact that the man is a legit style icon for many people in this country. He has impeccable taste in all things related to style and fashion.

This is clearly evident when you consider his take on street style. As for his ensembles for red carpet events and other promotional activities, they are great and full of panache. His street outfits though are on a different level.

Recently, he gave us an example of how awesome his dressing down can get.

Kartik was recently spotted in Mumbai, driving around in his BMW Mini Cooper Convertible S. Automobile enthusiasts will agree that his British Racing Green car is a dope little hatchback, and looks phenomenal. However, it was his outfit that truly caught our eye.

Kartik was dressed in a very basic, but sick looking ensemble, consisting of a pink T-shirt, a dapper-looking green jacket, and a heavily distressed pair of denim jeans. We also like the sunglasses from Irus by Idee that he’s wearing.

The olive green jacket and the pink T-shirt actually looks phenomenal. The jacket has a very technical, and militaristic appeal. The epaulettes and the chunky pockets, along with the unstructured draping of the jacket further adds to the utilitarian and technical aspect.

The jeans, on the other hand, have a very modernistic appeal, thanks to distresses and the rips as well as the bleach stains. These jeans are from DSquared2, and are called the Ripped Wash Cool Guy denim.

The denim pants are distressed using hands, which means that no two pieces will have the exact same bleach stains, distress marks and rips. This means that each piece is rather exclusive in a manner, and of course, exclusivity has a cost.

The denim retails for $890, or Rs 65,000, without your regular import duties or taxes. That’s one pricey piece of denim, but then, what else can you expect for a high fashion, Italian made piece of clothing.

The sneakers, again, are on a different level. Kartik is seen here wearing the Logo Tab Sneakers in White from Prada.

The sneakers' silhouette does not hide the different panels that have been used to make these sneakers. Instead, they showcase it, which gives it a very modern aesthetic.

The pair of sneakers uses rubber, polyester and calfskin leather of the highest grade for the panels and linings. They have a very clean and minimalistic aesthetic.

Of course, such an exquisite pair of sneakers will be expensive. The sneakers are listed for $780 or Rs 57,000, excluding import duties and customs.

All in all, this is actually quite a dope looking outfit, proving that Kartik really knows how to amp up a street outfit. Take a bow, Kartik.
