A San Francisco-based Uber driver, Shukhabkar Khadka, on March 7 had been subject to racist comments and attacks after he picked up three women in his Uber and asked one of them to wear a mask when he noticed her without it.  

Upon refusal, he asked them to leave his car and the woman decided that the best course of action would be to literally cough on the poor guy — right in the middle of a deadly pandemic!

That’s not all… she even tried to steal his phone and one of the other women also used pepper spray inside his car. 

Well, luckily he had a dashcam and, soon after the incident, the internet rose to his support and his video went viral.

I would like to see them arrested. At minimum, I'd like to see the woman who coughed on the driver prosecuted for assault. A civilized society simply can't tolerate this.

I don't know if they actually ID'd the woman in the Uber video who coughs on the driver and pulls his mask off w her two friends but I still do not understand how you can have massive online presence and not be aware of how quickly this machine will track you down for that shit

A GoFundMe was also started after Uber failed to provide him with appropriate compensation to get his car fixed and make up for lost wages.  

The amount raised currently stands at $101,860, over 5 times the original $20,000 goal.

Fast forward to the present, the woman, Arna Kimiai, has now turned herself in to the police and is facing charges of robbery, assault and battery, conspiracy, and violation of the health and safety code. This could spell years in prison for Kimai. 

Meanwhile, another suspect Malaysia King has also been charged with assault with a caustic chemical, assault and battery, conspiracy, and violation of health and safety code.

Well, people are saying that the women are simply getting what they deserve.

Khadka, who is from Nepal, told KPIX he believes he was targeted because he is a South Asian immigrant.

The police say that while arrests have been made, the investigation is still ongoing.
