It’s a treat for all the Piku fans as Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan will reunite for the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood film, The Intern. The remake will be directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Sunir Kheterpal and Deepika.
It was earlier Rishi Kapoor who was supposed to play the part but after his demise, the makers roped in Amitabh for the role. Yesterday, Deepika shared the announcement with her fans and also dropped a poster of the film. She wrote, "What an absolute honour to be collaborating with one of my most special co-star again! Welcoming @amitabhbachchan to the Indian adaptation of #TheIntern."
View this post on InstagramThe Intern is a 2015 comedy-drama, which starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway in lead roles. The film revolved around the story of a 70-year-old man (De Niro), who becomes a senior intern at an online fashion website. Anne Hathaway, who plays the role of the company's CEO, forms an unlikely friendship with De Niro's character. The film had received mixed reviews from the audience.
People are mighty upset about the fact that Bollywood is again making a remake. They have already declared it a disaster even before its release. A few social media users even went on to say that the original one too had no wow factor so there was no need to invest in a remake of this particular movie. People also bashed Bollywood for its lack of originality.
