Gal Gadot's Tweet On Israel-Palestine Conflict Causes Major Stir, Forces Her To Disable Comments

Israel and Palestine have been at loggerheads for decades. Amid the conflict between Israel and Hamas and Palestine, Israeli actress Gal Gadot has shared a tweet praying for peace. Gadot said it breaks her heart to see her "country at war." The Wonder Woman star added that both Israel and its "neighbour" deserve to live as "free and safe" nations.

She wrote, “My heart breaks. My country is at war. I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. This is a vicious cycle that has been going on for far too long. I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. I pray for better days.”

The actress who shot to fame for her performance as Wonder Woman in the DC Comics franchise had earlier faced backlash on December 25, 2020, during the release of Wonder Woman 1984.

There was a certain sequence in Wonder Woman 1984 where the superhero had to save young children from Egypt from a war-like situation.

Many supporters of Palestine did not support the sequence since the Israeli actress was portrayed as a hero in a middle eastern country.

What do you think? Is it fair to target her? Let us know in the comments section below.
