The Sushil Kumar case is turning murkier by the day, as more and more details are coming to light. After the arrest of the wrestler after a dramatic multi-city search operation, the police finally received a six day custody of the wrestler.

Sushil Kumar is allegedly involved in the murder of 23 year old wrestler Sagar Rana at the Chhatrasal Stadium, along with co-accused Ajay Kumar. Sushil and his associates allegedly attacked Rana and his friends at the stadium on May 4, and brutally assaulted them. Rana died in the hospital because of his injuries.

According to the statement of the police given to the court, "Sushil had asked (his friend) Prince to make that video. He and his associates thrashed the victims like animals. He wanted to establish his fear in the wrestling community."

Before these disturbing revelations, Sushil Kumar had been on the run, and the police had announced a reward of Rs 1 Lakh for the wrestler, and another reward of Rs 50,000 for the co-accused Ajay Kumar. While the police are working overtime to reach the bottom of the case, civilians and fans alike have been expressing their shock over the national award winner's brutal fall from grace.
