There's no stigma when an older man is in love with a younger woman, but if the age gap is significant, it raises more eyebrows than necessary. 

However, some celebrities are breaking the stereotypes and normalising this stigma by speaking their mind on the matter.

In 2018, Milind Soman married Ankita Konwar. 

Soman was 52 at the time he married her, and Konwar was 26. The couple has often been trolled for the age gap, but they always took it in their stride. 

The duo is happily married and never let the stigma affect their companionship, proudly flaunting their relationship on social media.

Recently, Ankita hosted an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram. She was asked several questions, right from her professional to personal life. 

A fan also asked her about her future plans of having kids. To this, she said, "we are planned family, next."

Another fan questioned her, "How did you tackle/ manage this Indian stereotype of 'don't marry an older man?'" To this, Ankita responded, saying that she has always done what makes her happy. 

Adding to this, she said, "Anything that's not common in a society, people usually like to talk about it. And it's not just limited to India. We, as a species, have a tendency to get weird about the unknown, the unexplored, AKA fear. A survival skill. And sometimes we are not conscious enough to distinguish between the utility and the waste of that skill."

Another fan asked "Any relationship advice to keep yourself and your partner happy?? You n Milind sir are couple goals."

Her response was "every relationship is different, but some things remain the same. Open communication, trust, and respect are the key to loads of love, and it conquers all."

Milind and Ankita celebrated three years of being married in April. 

Milind took to Instagram and captioned the post, "3 years!!! Happy anniversary @ankita_earthy. Still seems like yesterday this is the smile that warms my heart, this is the sweetheart that makes me smile.." The couple got married after dating for 5 years.
