You know you have achieved a separate level of stardom when the directors of some of the highest-grossing Marvel movies give you a shout-out. 

Well, Dhanush, for one, surely must be proud.

Anthony Russo & Joseph Russo, popularly known as the Russo Brothers, put out a tweet wishing Dhanush all the best for the premiere of his latest film, Jagame Thandhiram. 

The Russo brothers are the creative geniuses behind some of Marvel’s best box office hits, which include Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

For those who have been living under a rock all this while, Dhanush actually managed to get a role in The Gray Man, a movie that is being produced by Netflix, and which is being touted as the most expensive film that the streaming service has ever produced, with a budget of $200 million.

In The Gray Man, Dhanush will be seen sharing the screen with Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and  Wagner Moura, the guy who played Pablo Escobar in Narcos.

Jagame Thandhiram is a gangster action film that was first announced back in 2016 and has been five years in the making. Naturally, for fans of Dhanush and of Tamil cinema, this is one of the most anticipated films of the year.

The Russo Brothers referred to Dhanush as their “little brother” in the tweet, and wished Dhanush the best of luck. 

Not just that, they also Tweeted out the link to the trailer and suggested their fans to watch the Tamil film, almost as an endorsement. Praise, really, doesn’t get any higher than that.

Desi fans surely went crazy because of this, with many suggesting that the Russo Brothers should get Dhanush to be a part of the Marvel universe as well.

Even though both The Gray Man & Jagame Thandhiram are Netflix releases, it still is sort of a big deal for the Russo brothers to endorse a Tamil film.
