Sunny Deol Ripped His Pants In Anger Over 'Darr' Climax, Didn't Speak To SRK For 16 Years


Bollywood, being India's premier film industry, is certainly known to be quite big due to the number of actors, directors, and producers working in it. Despite being large in size, the fact remains that it still is a very close-knitted industry where word spreads really fast, and literally everywhere.

Bollywood is known to be a big stage for bigger egos, and there is nothing that spreads faster than news of feuds between Bollywood stars, with none being quite as renowned as the feud between Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol.

The duo was a part of Yash Chopra's 1993 Indian romantic psychological thriller film Darr, which obviously played an integral role in SRK becoming a household name. Unlike SRK's usual roles, the actor really held his own by becoming the anti-hero in the film, with audiences loving the villain more than the actual hero (Sunny Deol). However, despite the success of the film, SRK and Sunny had a huge public spat that went on for almost two decades.

Sunny, who now rarely appears in films, spoke about the incident during his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, and explained the entire course of events during the filming of the movie.

The actor said that he had disagreements with Yash Chopra on the climax involving SRK's character stabbing his commando character. β€œI had a heated discussion with Yash Chopra regarding that scene. I tried explaining that I am a commando officer in the film. My character is an expert and fit, then how can this boy beat me easily? He can beat me if I can’t see him. If he can stab me while I am looking at him, then I won’t be called a commando,” said Sunny
