MUMBAI: Salman Khan?s new movie Tubelight has failed to break into the INR 100 crore club during its first weekend of release.

According to reports in the India media, the opening weekend ticket sales amounted to INR 64.77 crore which is far below expectations.

Salman Khan has been dominant during the Eid weekend and Tubelight is the lowest earning film of his last five releases. The last two Salman Khan Eid releases Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) and Sultan (2016) both earned over 100 crores over opening weekend.

The movie has not received favorable reviews and needs a good showing over the remaining days of Eid to turn a profit and avoid becoming a flop.
