The confidence with which he was playing his shots, directing the ball towards the ropes and backing up his partner and team captain Shikhar Dhawan, allowed him to get lauded by the fans from all over the country. Among those, was one special lady, Prachi Singh, who is rumoured to be dating the 21-year old Indian opener.

An actor, and a self-taught dancer, Singh shared a couple of stories from her Instagram account titled ‘Prithvi “Showstopper” Shaw’ and going on to calling him “the best”. She also went on to address Shaw getting the ‘Player of the Match’ award.

Who Is Prachi Singh?

Born in Mumbai on July 22, 1995, Prachi made her acting debut back in 2019 when she played the role of Vanshika Sharma on a television serial Udaan. Ever since, she has been making waves on social media with her belly dancing videos, which she claims to have learnt completely on her own.

She is a Mumbai University graduate and is currently working in another show titled Indiawaali Maa which essentially revolves around a mother-son relationship.

The rumours of Prachi being Shaw’s girlfriend began due to the social media interaction taking place between the actor and the cricketer for the past couple of months as fans began to speculate a close relationship between the two.

Shaw’s performance in the second ODI wasn’t nearly as impressive as the one before that. Although the young cricketer started batting in his usual, aggressive manner, scoring three fours in the first 10 balls that he faced, he was bowled out by Wanindu Hasaranga for just 13 runs on the final delivery of the third over.

As a result, Team India found themselves in a bit of a mess with the scoreboard reading 116/5 at one point and the chances of winning the match looking extremely bleak. Thankfully, an unexpected and heroic performance coming from the bat of Deepak Chahar and resistance provided by vice-captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar allowed the duo to help the squad rally towards a win.
