‘Take Their Name’ Ignorants Bash Rashid Khan For Not Adding ‘Taliban’ In His Protest Tweets

The terror of the Taliban in Afghanistan reach new extent as two bombing attacks near the Kabul airport take the lives of over 60 citizens and 13 US Military troops who were in the middle of a massive evacuation from the country, according to a CNN report.

“We have to find a way to evacuate because our lives are in danger,” Nadia Sadat, a 27-year-old Afghan said in a report by the Associated Press. “My husband received several threatening messages from unknown sources. We have no chance except escaping.”

Watching his country suffer and his people in pain, the captain of the Afghanistan cricket team, Rashid Khan once again shared a heartbreaking tweet from his official social media handle in which he begged for the violence to end.

Kabul is bleeding again
STOP KILLING AFGHAN PLEASE

— Rashid Khan (@rashidkhan_19) August 26, 2021

“Kabul is bleeding again STOP KILLING AFGHAN PLEASE,” Khan wrote on the micro-blogging website.

Ever since the surge of the Talibani forces in the country, Khan has been voicing his protest against the bloodshed that’s happening in Afghanistan, while requesting the world leaders to not abandon them in the time of need and desperation.

Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos, thousand of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred everyday, houses & properties being destructed.Thousand families displaced..
Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghaniatan.
We want peace.

“Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos, thousand of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred everyday, houses & properties being destructed.Thousand families displaced.. Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan. We want peace,” he wrote earlier this month.

However, in all of his tweets, not once has Khan mentioned or used the term “Taliban” and people have begun to take notice of this pattern. As a result, they started calling the cricketer out and asking him to start naming the real culprits in his protests.

Why you never take name of Taliban??
Who is responsible for attacks in Afghanistan??

I don't know, who are you praying to, Talibans are not in Twitter. https://t.co/u2xfznCcP0

Why do they never Name #Talibans ? https://t.co/eqz29Uaske

— Sahil Mahajan (@imahajansahil) August 27, 2021

Thankfully, there were some who understood Rashid Khan’s predicament and why he cannot take the Taliban’s name or revolt directly against them:

Why would he take their names ? His family is still stuck in Afghanistan. He is tweeting at least, speaking against bad thats enough, nobody can understand his situation....

Dude his family is still there. He has to save them too.

With the kind of terror and chaos being spread in Afghanistan at the moment, it is rather commendable that Rashid Khan is still tweeting about retaining peace at his home, especially when he has his family and loved ones still trapped there. Taking their names would not only make him a prime target, it would also endanger his family’s lives.
