From making his debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year and not getting accepted by the audience to finally changing the mindset of his haters with his best performance so far as Vikram Batra in Shershaah, Sidharth Malhotra has come far in his cinematic journey. He's being hugely appreciated for picking up all the mannerisms of Vikram Batra in his latest outing and rightly so.

Interestingly, Kangana Ranaut who had bashed Karan for being the flag-bearer of nepotism, took to Instagram stories to appreciate Dharma Production’s Shershaah . She even appreciated Sidharth for his acting skills in the movie.

In the first story, she wrote, “National hero Vikram Batra was a Himachali boy from Palampur, very popular and loved soldier. When the tragedy happened, news spread like wildfire in Himachal, it slid through our hearts. As a kid, I remember being tormented for days.”

In the second post, she added, “What a glorious tribute @sidmalhotra. Congratulations to the entire team. It was a big responsibility and you all excelled."

Kangana and Karan have shared a rather cold past. In one of the interviews, Johar had told Mumbai Mirror, “So much has been said about Kangana, me, and some kind of rivalry or simmering tension. But at every public event, we’ve met, we’ve greeted each other graciously. Whatever may have been said or insinuated in print, I think I’m too old and wise to hold any kind of malice in my heart for anybody. As a filmmaker, I respect Kangana’s talent, craft, and what she brings to the table. She is an actor who has proved her mettle and is deserving of the honour. Besides Ekta (Kapoor) and Adnan Sami, I am honoured to receive the Padma Shri alongside Kangana.”

On the professional front, Kangana will next be seen in director Vijay’s Thalaivi. The film is a biopic of actor and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa. In the film, while Kangana Ranaut will be playing the character of Jayalalithaa, Arvind Swami will be essaying the role of late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran. She will also be seen in Dhaakad following that.
