West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh is once again making headlines for his bold and unapologetic claims of cow milk having gold particles in it.
According to News18, Ghosh said: “Nowadays people are buying packet milk. They don’t go for pure cow’s milk. I said gold is found in cow’s milk, there has been a lot of talk about it. Those who didn’t have real cow milk, how will they know whether there is any gold in it or not?”
View this post on InstagramIn response to his claims, TMC MP, Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, said, “I never heard about the presence of gold in cow milk but the presence of gold in Dilip Ghosh’s brain may be possible.”
Ever since, the social media has made a mockery out of the minister in more than one ways:
Gobar is found in the skulls of those who think there is Gold in cow milk.
— "Balkan Narendra" Lion (@Loquacious_Lion) August 28, 2021Those whose think Cow Milk has gold should go to Mother Diary instead of ATM
— Marksman (@Bazingaa_SC) August 28, 2021Let Dilip Ghosh extract gold from Cow Milk. This will push @BJP4India away from Bengal forever.
It is the high time for @AITCofficial to become more responsible and @CPIM_WESTBENGAL to emerge as a sensible and strong opposition. https://t.co/1UccWIsF2l
In this pandemic situation try to buy a cow. You can get gold from cow milk. Sell it. Be rich.

Believe it or not but this isn’t the first time Ghosh has spoken about finding gold in cow milk. He even has an explanation about the source of gold within the animals and how the source gets activated naturally.
“Our country’s cows have gold nuggets on their backs. When the sun shines, gold is made from it,” he had said back in 2019 while explaining why cow milk has a yellowish shade in it.
View this post on InstagramBack then, the context around Ghosh making such comments was to protest the killing of cows. “India is a place of Gopal (Lord Krishna) and respect for Gau (cow) will remain here forever. We will see the insult to our mother cow, killing of the mother cow as a heinous crime and we will continue to oppose this. After breastfeeding, a child survives on cow milk. The cow is our mother and we will never tolerate it if someone kills our mother,” Ghosh had said.
“Cow is our mother, we stay alive by consuming cow milk, so if anyone misbehaves with my mother, I will treat them the way they should be treated. On the holy soil of India killing cows and consuming beef is a crime,” Dilip Ghosh had made yet another bold comment against those who consumed beef in India.
