Prakash Jha and Bobby Deol have collaborated for the third part of the popular show Ashram and are shooting for it in Bhopal. A working Sunday for the Ashram director Prakash, Bobby, and the whole crew turned out to be a living nightmare as a group of Bajrang Dal members vandalized the sets. As per reports, the members reached the spot and started ransacking the sets.
They even pelted stones, injuring some crew members, threw ink at Jha, and searched for Bobby who was in the vanity van. The videos of the entire fiasco have been going viral on social media.

Justifying their actions, Bajrang Dal leader Sushil Sudele told ANI, “We want the film industry to be promoted here. But this land should not be used to humiliate Hindu samaj. In the earlier series it was shown that women are exploited inside Ashram, is it so? We've given only a warning today by protesting here. Prakash Raj has said that he is in talks to change the show's title. I repeat the show's name will have to be changed from 'Ashram' or won't be filmed here in Bhopal.”

According to reports, Bajrang Dal members even shouted "Prakash Jha Murdabad", "Bobby Deol Murdabad" and "Jai Shri Ram". Police said no one was fatally injured and appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for Sunday's vandalism. Irshad Wali, DIG Bhopal, clarified, "All the miscreants have been shunned from the premises and no one has been fatally injured, though some vehicles have been damaged. Further action will be taken against those responsible."
We are shocked to see how people are okay with the fact that Bajrang Dal members took the law into their hands and created a ruckus. People are supporting the members because they feel that the filmmaker has hurt Hindu sentiments by naming the show Ashram. One of the Twitter users wrote, “Nothing wrong by "Bajrang Dal".. my 100% support with. Every time this #BollywoodDruggies show Hindu culture wrong..now think before you do.”

This is not Ashram's first brush with controversy as a Jodhpur court in 2020 issued notice to Bobby Deol and Prakash Jha after an advocate moved the court claiming that the series hurts religious sentiments.
