Trolls recently targeted Ananya Panday when she wore a sheer black dress with a thigh-high split and a bodysuit to Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta's star-studded birthday bash. In a recent interview, her father, actor Chunky Panday, has reacted to the trolling and defended the Gehraiyaan star. He stated that the young actress is in show business and needs to look glamorous.
    View this post on Instagram
Talking to Hindustan Times about his daughter Ananya being trolled for her recent fashion choice, Chunky said, "We, as parents, have never told her what to wear and what not to. We brought up both of our daughters quite well and they are very sensible. Ananya is in the show business today, and she needs to look glamorous. She should put her best foot forward and dress up".
He went on to say that his daughter looked lovely and added, "One thing I know for sure about my girls is that there’s a certain kind of innocence in them. I’m sure they can wear anything and carry them off without looking vulgar."

While adding that his family also makes fun of his clothing choices, the Houseful actor shared, "Getting laughed at for what you’re wearing is very common. We should take these things as a compliment. And if her dad doesn’t mind, then I don’t think anyone else should mind".
He further expressed that one should laugh at the comments of trolls. "I tell Ananya Panday, ‘At least people are discussing you, be it good or bad’. We make sure that we don’t bother about trolls. She has learnt to laugh at herself. One shouldn’t let these things get to their heart," he concluded.

On the film front, Ananya will be seen romancing South star Vijay Devarakonda in Puri Jagannadh's pan-India film Liger. She recently started filming for Zoya Akhtar's upcoming production venture titled Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. The film stars Siddharth Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav as the male leads.

Post the theatres opening in a world that is swimming in the repercussions of a pandemic, two releases which hit the screens have taken the audience by surprise. On one hand is Akshay Kumar & Kriti Sanon’s Bachchhan Pandey which was supposed to have all the ingredients of a becoming a ‘mass’ hit, and on another hand was Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files which has stirred a big soup of controversy and has become a big hit.

The Kashmir Files continues to go strong on the big screen, with many states declaring it as tax-free and single screen theatres choosing to run this film over Akshay’s movie. While a lot of trolling is happening around the situation, a lot of fans cannot help but draw the irony that Akshay lost out to a film based on a political, national agenda, when he himself is known to take up movies of national interest. His fans are quite upset that the film clashed with Vivek’s film.

Former adult star and Bollywood actress Sunny Leone sure turned a lot of heads when she left the porn industry to join the Indian film industry more than a decade ago.

Yes! It was the year 2011 when Sunny joined as one of the contestants on the super-hit and controversial reality show Big Boss.

Well, it was just the start of things for her in India and she clearly hasn't looked back since.

Whether it be movies, shows, or iconic music videos, Sunny has stamped her mark almost everywhere you look.
Having made her Bollywood debut in Pooja Bhatt's erotic thriller movie Jism 2, which was the sequel to the superhit John Abraham film Jism, Sunny's going to do a lot of movies in the industry.
    © Zee5
She's been a part of films like Jackpot (2013), Ragini MMS 2 (2014), Ek Paheli Leela (2015), and Tera Intezaar (2017).

Now, while she's clearly had success with her second career, it hasn't obviously been straightforward for her.
As you know, Bollywood is a tough nut to crack, and Sunny's had a fair share of troubles along the way as well.
One of the things that the actress herself mentioned was that she felt many star wives were not very happy with their husbands working with her.
Sunny spoke about it in detail during one of her interviews back in 2015, where she revealed there is some sense of insecurity.

“Most of the actors I work with are married, and when I meet their wives, I usually get along with them more than the boys. But still, I do believe that there is some insecurity for sure. I just feel like telling them, “I don’t want your husband or boyfriend. I have the most amazing husband in the world.” she said while speaking to Hindustan Times.

As you'd know Sunny is happily married to her husband Daniel Weber, and in another interview, she revealed that at times she just feels like telling the Bollywood wives that she's very satisfied with her own husband.

    Speaking to Filmibeat, Sunny said,

“I was told that a lot of male actors in Bollywood are scared to work with me because they have a wife or this and that. And I want to tell their wives, ‘I don’t want your husband. I have one. I love him. He’s hot, he’s sexy. He fulfills all my needs in every way, emotionally, and everything. I don’t want your husband.’ I want to do my job and I want to go home with my husband, not yours.”
Sunny will next be seen in her upcoming film Shero.

Participation is more important than winning. From our parents to teachers, we all have grown up hearing this particular phrase on numerous occasions.

But once a player switches from being a rookie to a professional, this phrase seems totally irrelevant. After all, for a professional athlete, winning is all that matters. At least, that’s what the majority of us think.

Produced by ALT Balaji, Lock Upp, is one of the most controversial shows made for Indian audiences. It is also one of the most followed web shows as evidenced by its high social media engagement.
Even though the show only kicked off some weeks back, favorites have already been picked by Lock Upp’s viewers from among the contestants of the show. Central to the show is the firebrand energy that controversy Queen Kangana Ranaut brings to it, with her seemingly scripted haranguing and bullying giving the Indian audiences a satisfying sense of schadenfreude.
    © Kangana Ranaut
However, what was most surprising, was witnessing the otherwise raging Kangana fawn over one of the contestants of the show. Poonam Pandey’s ‘seduction act’, which was a part of the task, seems to have turned the host into a fan of the adult entertainer.

If you’re new to the show, then let us tell you that ‘Lock Upp’ started back in February of this year, and has been seeing record-breaking viewership ever since. The risque reality show has been produced by Ekta Kapoor and is currently streaming on MX Player and ALT Balaji. On the face of it, the show’s premise may come off as crude, with controversial participants expected to survive an assortment of tasks thrown their way, while already surviving on minimum utilities. However, gauging by the response the reality show has been receiving, the show seems to be on to something.
With Kangana playing host, not only do the contestants have to survive the tedious tasks, but also the venomous jibes directed towards them. Each week she interacts with the contestants and judges them on the basis of their performance of the tasks, and hands out her judgment accordingly.
    © Poonam Pandey
In a recent episode of Lock Upp, Kangana Ranaut surprisingly chose to wax lyrical over Poonam Pandey’s performance of the task. Impressed by how the adult entertainer had pulled off the dare-task ‘art of seduction’, Ranaut revealed that she found the whole act ‘hot’, saying,  “Aapka jo act tha, jo role play kiya, wo sach mein bahut hot tha”

Not stopping there with her compliments, Kangana Ranaut further expressed her amazement, “Aapko ek school bhi chalana chahiye, hum log bhi usme admission le lenge, humko bhi training do.”
Do you think Kangana should learn a trick or two from Poonam Pandey’s books? Let us know in the comments.

KL Rahul shifted base from Punjab Kings to Lucknow Super Giants for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The 29-year-old led the Punjab-based franchise for two years and even won the Orange Cap in one season but failed to take his side to the title.
During his time with the Punjab-based franchise, KL Rahul scored over 600 runs in both seasons but the pace at which he got those runs became a huge talking point.
So proud of the way the boys played tonight Happy to see the Orange Cap & the purple cap in the @lionsdenkxip Congrats @klrahul11 4 leading from the front & for the unbeaten 132. I’m leaving Dubai with the biggest smile on my face #Shammi #KXIPvsRCB #PzIpldiaries pic.twitter.com/7YeDEvKeOP

The former Punjab Kings captain was criticised for playing slow knocks and getting the team in trouble even during easy run chases.
Rahul was named captain of Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the upcoming season and he will go out in the middle with a point to prove.
KL Rahul has to be the most fraud orange cap holder in IPL history. Actually lost Punjab almost half of their games bc of his super slow batting.
    — Todd Chavez (@khanak_08) November 1, 2020
The 29-year-old batter got a chance to lead the Indian team in a Test match and three ODIs but the team lost all four matches. Former India opening batter Aakash Chopra feels KL Rahul should prove to the world what he can do as a captain.
Chopra also added that while playing for Punjab Kings, the team required him to bat in a particular manner and that is why he did not score freely but now in a new season, there will be no excuses left for him to hide behind if he fails to up his strike-rate.

"Rahul has a clean slate like Hardik Pandya. But Rahul's big challenge will be that he was playing slow for Punjab Kings because the team was like that. Now the team would have been picked after asking you. Tell how good a captain you are because you don't have an excuse now, there is no story now," Aakash Chorpa said in his YouTube channel.
Chopra further mentioned that the presence of two great cricketing minds in Andy Flower and Gautam Gambhir will help him improve his game plan.
"Now play freely. This is now or never, do or die. This is what matters, Gautam Gambhir and Andy Flower will be there, two good brains. You are a good captain, you are a phenomenal player, get the best out of yourself," Chopra concluded.

Kapri offered to drop him, but he refused and the reason melted his heart. He recorded the whole interaction with the boy and shared it on his Twitter account.

Posting the video of the boy, he wrote in the caption, “Last night at 12 o'clock on the street of Noida, I saw this boy running very fast with a bag on his shoulder. I thought he might be in some trouble, so I should offer him a ride. I repeatedly offered him lift but he declined. You will fall in love with this child after listening to his reason.”

It’s interesting how before March 11, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files was an underdog and not many expected it to stand tall against the likes of Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam and Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey.
But the unexpected and unthinkable happened as The Kashmir Files wave swept away competition at the box office left, right & center.
In its opening weekend, the film outperformed Radhe Shyam and collected almost Rs 100 crore in its week one.

However, the best was yet to come for the Mithun Chakraborty starrer. The film recorded a solid collection in weekend two as it made Rs 70.15 crore taking its 10-day total to Rs 167.45 crore.

Sharing the box office collection of The Kashmir Files, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#TheKashmirFiles [Week 2] is a TSUNAMI at the #BO... The second weekend of The Kashmir Files, a small film featuring a yesteryear superstar & a veteran actor like Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher, respectively, left behind one of the top superstars of India, Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey by a margin.
In its opening weekend, Bachchhan Paandey struggled and collected a low Rs 37.25 crore.
Sharing its box office collection, Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#BachchhanPaandey remains low over the weekend, mainly due to #TKF juggernaut that eclipsed the biz of *all* films... Did not witness growth on Day 3... Fri 13.25 cr, Sat 12 cr, Sun 12 cr. Total: ₹ 37.25 cr. #India biz.”

Bachchhan Paandey has turned out to be Akshay Kumar’s lowest first weekend grosser in years if we exclude Bell Bottom that released amidst several restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Farhad Samji directorial may also find it difficult to survive even week one and is expected to see its lifetime collection even lower than Rs 80 crore.
As for The Kashmir Files, the film is running riot at the ticket window and will hit the Rs 200 crore mark before the end of its second week.

Winston Peters, New Zealand’s former deputy Prime Minister is the latest individual to have come out in support of the controversial film The Kashmir Files. Claiming any obstructions to its release in the island nation would be tantamount to an attack on the freedom guaranteed to every New Zealander.

Taking to Facebook, the Kiwi politician began his message by talking about the global impact of the Vivek Agnihotri directorial, he wrote, “The ‘Kashmir Files’ has been shown in America, Australia, India and many other locations around the world. To date the film has been viewed by over 1.1 billion people. The film is about true and real events surrounding the 1990 ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Kashmir and today over 400,000 Kashmir Pandits remain in exile after 32 years.”

Peters further opined on the alleged restriction to the average New Zealander's freedom, by writing, "To censor this film is tantamount to censoring information or images from the March 15th atrocities in New Zealand, or for that matter removing from public knowledge all images of the attack on 9/11. Mainstream Muslims have both in this country and around the world readily and rightly denounced all forms of terrorism on the basis that committing violence in the name of Islam is not Muslim. Neither should steps taken against Islamophobia mistakenly lead to the shielding of terrorists in the name of Islam."

The former deputy Prime Minister ended his thoughts by penning, “Terrorism in all its forms, no matter what its source, should be exposed and opposed. This attempt at selective censorship would amount to one further attack on the freedom of New Zealanders and people worldwide.” Director Vivek Agnihotri duly thanked him for this expression of support to the film.
But What’s The Controversy Around ‘The Kashmir Files’ Release In New Zealand?

According to claims made by Vivek Agnihotri on Twitter, The New Zealand Censor Board was facing pressure to ban his film ‘The Kashmir Files’. He blamed the influence of ‘"some communal groups" behind this.

    Dear friends,
Some communal and terror sympathiser groups are putting pressure on New Zealand government to ban #TheKashmirFiles. It’s ethically and principally wrong. Pl support #RightToJustice

Based on reports, New Zealand’s chief censor committee hasn’t banned the movie yet. They’re simply reviewing the classification of the film after certain members of the Muslim faith raised their concerns over the depiction of their community. Current Chief Censor David Shanks admitted to certain local Muslims having approached him with doubts over the film’s agenda, claiming the narrative of the film could cause a spike in Islamophobia. He told the local media, “This is a situation where emotions are starting to tick up. [We have] got to engage with that."
Do you think there’s any cause for concern for the New Zealand Censor Board? Will it get banned over there? Let us know in the comments below.
