Finally! The teaser trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home, one of the most anticipated movies of the year, is now out. It had been an agonizingly long wait for fans, who had been forced to live on breadcrumbs offered by Tom Holland and the MCU bosses at the top for the secret Spider-Man project, which will be the third film in the series.
    © Marvel Studios

With the MCU and movie speculators repeatedly pointing at the possibility of the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Mans from their respective universes, fans have literally been left on the edge of their seats for quite some time.
    © Sony Pictures
Well, trust me! It's all worth it as the new trailer has revealed a lot of exciting things about the movie while also planting seeds of what to expect from the actual movie. Here are five of the most exciting things that y'all should know from the trailer:

    1. Peter Parker's New Life Is Absolutely Crazy © Marvel Studios
Post Mysterio's death in Spider-Man: Far From Home, we'd seen Peter's identity as Spider-Man revealed to the entire world. Well, it's all messed up for Peter now as the trailer shows that he's not only been given a paparazzi treatment from everyone but is also being charged for Mysterio's murder, which obviously he never committed.

In the trailer, the opening sequence begins with him and Mary Jane lying on the roof of a New York building, and he can be heard saying, "Can we just stay up here the whole day? It's so crazy down there."
Well, no sh*t! Not only is the iconic JK Simmons back as the Spider-Man hating Chief of Daily Bugle newspaper, J. Jonah Jameson, but also, Peter can no longer have two peaceful separate lives of a normal school-going teenager and a masked web-slinging vigilante.
    2. Multiverse Officially Confirmed © Marvel Studios
In the teaser, Peter can be seen frustrated with what's going on, which forces him to go and visit Dr. Strange, asking him if he can alter the reality to where the world doesn't know that he's Spider-Man.

Be careful what you wish for, Peter!
It looks like Dr. Strange grants his wishes only for him and Peter to mess things up into opening a Multiverse. While rumors of the return of a few known faces from the older Spider-Man movies had been rife for quite some time, the official announcement of the term Multiverse by Dr. Strange points to countless possibilities that could be later seen in the actual film.
    3. Doc Ock Finally Returns © Sony Pictures
The Tobey Maguire starrer Spider-Man 2 is not just one of the best Spider-Man movies but also one of the best superhero movies in general to date. One of the reasons behind its success was Alfred Molina's portrayal of Dr. Otto Octavius or Doc Ock/Dr. Octopus.

I mean, all of us cannot forget the epic train battle between Tobey's Spider-Man and the deadly tentacle-equipped Doc Ock. In what is a certain treat for fans 17 years on from the release of Spider-Man 2, Alfred Molina is returning to square off against Tom Holland's Spider-Man.
While much of the movie is still under tight wraps, the battle between Doc Ock and a certain Spider-Man or potentially Spider-Men is a cinematic experience we cannot wait to witness.
    4. Looks Like Green Goblin Is Back As Well! © Marvel Studios
What I loved about the Spider-Man teaser was how they smartly left out bits of easter eggs in the movie without revealing the entire plot. (Something they probably learned from Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool movies.)

The entire teaser has small elements of seeds planted everywhere giving fans a lot of thinking to do. One such exciting piece of revelation that came up in the teaser was a sinister laugh followed by an oncoming Pumpkin Bomb that belongs only to a certain super-villain known to terrorize Spider-Man and his family - the Green Goblin.
While we don't see him in the teaser at all, his evil laugh and his overall involvement in the film sheds light on the fact that this Spider-Man movie might be the grandest of all affairs.
    5. The Return Of Tobey Maguire And Andrew Garfield As Spider-Man Is Imminent © Instagram/Israel2099_
You've been thinking of it. You've been constantly hearing rumors of it. But where is the darn proof? That's quite been the lives of fans who've constantly been keeping up with the updates of the third installment of the MCU Spider-Man series.

The original cinematic Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire along with his successor Andrew Garfield have both been in the news of returning for the film that was thought to be a multiverse one.
Well, now that the multiverse has been confirmed and characters like Doc Ock, Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx's Electro are returning for the film, it only points to the fact that Tom Holland's Spider-Man, as mighty as he is, will need some help in beating these supervillains and getting things back to normal.
This is the reason why the return of Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Man characters is almost imminent. Also, this is just a teaser trailer, and going by the brainy people sitting in the top MCU offices, they want fans to want it even more, which is why the wait goes on. I mean, what's the fun in revealing everything now?
My bet is that we won't get a peek at the three Spider-Mans till right before the release of the movie, maybe in the final trailer. Ah! Don't be disappointed, fellas. For what it's worth, Tobey Maguire's ultimate return would be even sweeter to witness if we're made to wait just a wee bit more.

When a foreigner makes a peculiar remark about our country, especially the cuisine, Indians are bound to get irked.
A similar situation occurred recently when Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gene Weingarten commented on Indian food, which created a stir on the internet and it did not go quite well with the audience.
Actor-producer Mindy Kaling and model-television host Padma Lakshmi slammed the post that said, 'Indian cuisine only includes one spice'.
The article written by the columnist speaks about a lot of issues including how Indian food is wholly 'based on one herb'.

Even Meena Harris, the niece of Vice President Kamala Harris, said in a Tweet, "Apropos of absolutely nothing name your ONE favorite Indian spice. I’ll go first: asafoetida."

Apropos of absolutely nothing name your ONE favorite Indian spice. I’ll go first: asafoetida.
    — Meena Harris (@meena) August 23, 2021I love fenugreek! There are so many spices in this wonderful cuisine!
    — Mindy Kaling (@mindykaling) August 23, 2021 Mindy Kaling, too expressed her displeasure and wrote, "I love fenugreek! There are so many spices in this wonderful cuisine!" She also tweeted, "You don’t like a cuisine? Fine. But it’s so weird to feel defiantly proud of not liking a cuisine. You can quietly not like something too."
Top Chef mentor Padma Lakshmi couldn't hold back and replied in the series of tweets, "What in the white nonsense is this?"
She also mentioned, "Is this really the type of colonizer 'hot take' the @washingtonpost wants to publish in 2021- sardonically characterizing curry as 'one spice' and that all of India's cuisine is based on it?"
What in the white nonsense™️ is this? pic.twitter.com/ciPed2v5EK
    — Padma Lakshmi (@PadmaLakshmi) August 23, 2021 She took to Instagram and shared the screenshot of the article. It read, "Indian food. The Indian subcontinent has vastly enriched the world, giving us chess, buttons, the mathematical concept of zero, shampoo, modern-day nonviolent political resistance, Chutes and Ladders, the Fibonacci sequence, rock candy, cataract surgery, cashmere, USB ports ... and the only ethnic cuisine in the world insanely based entirely on one spice. If you like Indian curries, yay, you like Indian food! If you think Indian curries taste like something that could knock a vulture off a meat wagon, you do not like Indian food."
The Washington Post has added a correction tonight to the top of the @geneweingarten column pic.twitter.com/p4yM7ar9Wk
    — Katie Robertson (@katie_robertson) August 24, 2021
However, it has now been modified and reads, "...rock candy, cataract surgery, cashmere, USB ports ... and curry. If you like Indian curries, yay, you like one of India’s most popular class of dishes! If you think Indian curries taste like something that could knock a vulture off a meat wagon, you do not like a lot of Indian food."
    View this post on Instagram
As she shared the former article, Padma wrote, "There is truly no need for something like this to be published in 2021 (or ever). It’s racist and lazy at best. My issue is not this person’s performative contrarianism (although it is tedious) or that he didn’t enjoy the Indian cuisines he’s tasted."

Post this incident, the journalist took to Twitter and spoke about his visit to an Indian restaurant. He also said that the food was made beautifully, but it was swimming with herbs and spices. He also said, "I take nothing back."
Padma Lakshmi finally replied and said, "On behalf of 1.3 billion people, kindly f*** off."
Here's how furious people are on Twitter with his remark on Indian food.
.@geneweingarten thinks Indian food is terrible because it is entirely based on one spice. Which is basically the opposite of the truth. pic.twitter.com/sumaGpOBl4
    — Anand Giridharadas @ The.Ink (@AnandWrites) August 23, 2021Ah yes. That's why the masala dabba was invented: to hold that one spice in multiple containers. pic.twitter.com/tVPNjGfTed
    — Edward Anderson (@edanderson101) August 23, 2021I pride myself on my Pakistani cooking. I also love South Indian, and fusion dishes. That you got paid to write this tripe, and boldly spew your racism is deplorable.
May your rice be clumpy, roti dry, your chilies unforgivable, your chai cold, and your papadams soft.
    — Shireen Ahmed- CanWNT Stan (@_shireenahmed_) August 23, 2021who the **** is @geneweingarten, how the **** is he allowed to speak on food when his palate is so numb he thinks CURRIES are a single spice dish & why the **** is WaPo publishing straight up National Front talking points disguised as food opinions? https://t.co/PrMNfeNroM
    — Shiv Ramdas (@nameshiv) August 23, 2021You are a absolute idiot @geneweingarten. We even put 8 spices in our omelets. https://t.co/DD83aqkJZF
    — rabia O'chaudry (@rabiasquared) August 23, 2021No one cares that you don't like it. It's the ignorance of saying it's "one spice" and assuming all Indian food is "curry" that rubbed people the wrong way. A diverse country filled with so many different kinds of food cannot be summarized by a colonizer's word like curry!
    — LaVidaLopa (@LaVidaLopa) August 23, 2021This is one portion of my spice rack. And I cook cuisines of just 2 Indian states. "One spice"? pic.twitter.com/e2r2abfAKX

    — Asha Rangappa (@AshaRangappa_) August 23, 2021What is it with white guys with elite media jobs thinking everyone wants to read their dumb, very poorly informed rants about how much they dislike all Indian food?

There’s still more than three weeks left for the second phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 to start but MS Dhoni and majority of his teammates have already started their preparations in Dubai.
After completing their mandatory quarantine, the Chennai Super Kings players have started their training and the franchise has been posting videos of the net sessions on their official social media platforms. No points for guessing who is hogging all the limelight.

    — Chennai Super Kings - Mask Pdu Whistle Pdu! (@ChennaiIPL) August 23, 2021
Despite retiring from international cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni continues to be the focal point of the Chennai-based outfit and his fans flock to social media to get a glimpse of their favourite cricketer hitting the bowlers out of the park.
IPL is the only tournament the 40-year-old plays in at the moment and it’s quite natural that his body is not quite capable of doing what it used to do during his peak years. That said, Mahi leaves no stones unturned in getting ready for the big tournament and he spends hours in the gym as well as nets.
    View this post on Instagram
Since he bats lower down the order, practicing range hitting is his top-most priority ahead of the tournament and he was seen doing just that in a viral video. From pulling a short-pitch delivery over midwicket to charging down the track and hitting the bowler over his head, Dhoni practiced every shot in his book. Even though it's just practice, watching ‘Thala’ smashing huge sixes was a treat for CSK fans.
    © Twitter CSK
However, some of the haters didn’t like what they saw and started criticising the former Indian captain for flexing his muscles only in the nets while flopping in the actual game. As much as we would like to shut them down, the truth is that their argument holds some ground as Dhoni has struggled to hit sixes, especially in the last couple of seasons.

    © Instagram
Last year, he cleared the ropes only seven times in 14 matches while this year he has only smashed one six in seven outings. For a player who used to hit sixes for fun, it has been difficult to instill fear in the minds of opposition bowlers of late.

There are still seven group matches to go in this year’s IPL and every CSK fan will hope that Mahi gets his mojo back and lights up the second half of the tournament.

Celebrity romances and scandalous relationships are pretty common with people not even being surprised by such news anymore, but sometimes, an affair or a relationship is so bizarre that it manages to collectively turn every head on the planet.

26-year-old Portuguese Moto GP racer Miguel Oliveira shocked everyone after marrying his pregnant step sister after hiding their relationship from the world for over 11 years.

Guess true love finds its way after all. "

We thought we had seen all sorts of covidiots, and their antics - from not wearing masks to going out in the open when a lockdown was imposed, and ignoring social distancing norms.

    © Reuters
It turns out we have not even seen half of it. There is an entire group of Americans who are refusing to take the vaccine, in order to cash in on what they think will be the next big money-minting scheme. These people are holding out against the vaccine because they believe that their unvaccinated sperm & eggs will be more valuable than bitcoin.

    © Reuters
Now, vaccine scepticism, as unfounded and absurd as it seems, is a real thing. People are hesitant about taking the covid vaccine because most of them have fallen victim to rumours about how the vaccine was developed, what it contains, and what side effects it may have, although there really is no reason that legitimises any of those fears.

    © Reuters
Vaccine scepticism, no matter what the reason is, is simply irresponsible, and callous.

In the United States of America, there is a whole group of people, called the anti-vaxxers, who are against vaccines in general, not just the COVID vaccine. They’re against the polio vaccine, the hepatitis vaccines, the measles vaccine - everything. Unsurprisingly, most of these people are the ones who thought 5G towers caused the COVID pandemic.
    © Reuters
One of the major reasons that anti-vaxxers give for their stand against vaccines, is that vaccines lead to weakened immunities and that it causes Autism. Not only is there no proper peer-reviewed, independent scientific evidence to suggest that, but the first bit isn’t even true.

American anti-vaxxers are now claiming that soon enough, their sperm and eggs will be in high demand, because they would be unadulterated by the COVID vaccine, and therefore will be purer than their vaccinated counterparts. Talk about wishful thinking.
no words for this one https://t.co/2R0XCiFF4k
    — Samantha Cole (@samleecole August 13, 2021
One such anti-vaxxer has claimed that he will be selling his sperm for as much as $40,000 per vial. Another has claimed that the price of these “pure” sperm and eggs will be higher than that of Bitcoin.

Unvaccinated sperm will be the new Bitcoin.

Transport department officials recently seized a Rolls Royce Phantom, which was earlier owned by superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

But, the documents of the car were not changed to the name of the realtor who later purchased the car from him.
The transport department seized around seven luxury cars for non-payment of due taxes and also not carrying out relevant documents.

The seize was conducted near UB City on Vittal Mallya Road on Sunday evening.

A transport department official said,  “The Rolls-Royce Phantom car bearing a Maharashtra registration number was stopped for checking. The driver, who introduced himself as Salman Khan, failed to produce documents and said that his father had bought the car from Bachchan. The car was still in the name of the actor and the current owner had not transferred the car ownership to his name, though it was bought in 2019.”
Further, the officials found out that the car has been bought by Yusuf Shariff alias D Babu, who runs Umrah Developers.
“As per rules, vehicles with registration numbers of other states cannot ply beyond 11 months from the date of change of ownership,” the official added.
The official also said, “But the car had exchanged hands in February 2019. It is found that the actor had sold the car for Rs 6 crore and the letter signed by him was produced by Babu. He has been asked to produce all valid documents and further action will be initiated if he fails to produce the documents.”
During the drive, seven luxury cars, like Porsche, Land Rover, and Jaguar that were parked near UB City were seized. They were impounded for plying without paying taxes, not having valid documents and insurance.
It was found that most of the vehicles had no valid insurance and five were registered in Puducherry, where road tax is less.
On Monday, owners of three vehicles produced documents and renewed their lapsed insurance, the official said.

The last year and a half has been a reality check in more ways than one. Not too long ago, anything upending our ways of life as drastically as the pandemic has, was utterly unimaginable.

There are barely any industries that have made out of this in one piece, including the previously invulnerable Bollywood. Several actors made conscious moves to step away from the limelight to focus on themselves and their families in these trying times.
However, there are a select few actors who have defied expectations and haven’t let the pandemic affect their shooting schedules. Come hail or sunshine, their projects remain firmly on track, sometimes even juggling multiple projects at the same time.
In no particular order, here are five actors who have managed to stay employed with six or more movies in the works:
    1. Alia BhattNobody could have predicted Alia Bhatt’s steady but stratospheric rise when she debuted with Student Of The Year in 2012. Over the decade, her talent has nurtured a workhorse-like ethic, ensuring her schedule’s always full: Jee Le Zara, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Darlings, RRR, Brahmāstra, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

The way Virat Kohli led the Indian team and guided them to victory at Lord’s might have earned him plaudits from all quarters but it didn’t help his cause in the ICC Test rankings for batsmen, where he is currently at the fifth spot. Not long ago, Kohli was at the second spot but his lean patch has extended far longer than many of us expected it to last and he has now slipped down to the fifth position.
    © Reuters
Like you and me, Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma was equally shocked when he came to know about his student’s drop in rankings, which is led by New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and followed by England captain Joe Root and Australian duo of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne respectively.

“It is shocking news for me that Virat Kohli has fallen to the fifth spot. I was expecting that Joe Root would have probably gone ahead of him. I will definitely talk to him,” Sharma said on India News Sports.

Despite his bat being quiet for some time, Kohli has always insisted that he has never played for personal accolades. The most important thing for him continues to be the team’s success, whether he scores a century or not.
The way India defeated England at Lord’s would have helped Kohli’s confidence a great deal and given the whole team a belief that they could win the series. Sharma feels his student doesn’t need any extra motivation and it’s only a matter of time that he scores a big hundred.
    © Reuters
“I don’t feel there is any need to motivate him because he is extremely motivated. When I had spoken to him after the last match as well, he was quite excited and was happy that they had won and was not too worried about his runs. When he has such an attitude, a big hundred is about to come,” he added.

While Kohli has struggled to score even a half-century, his counterpart Joe Root has dominated the series thus far, scoring two centuries in the first two games. Sharma, who knows Kohli inside out, feels he would take it as a challenge and would do everything possible to settle the scores in the remaining matches.
“I would say it is a challenge for Virat to chase Joe Root. I have full hope because I have known Virat from his childhood, he loves challenges. So, it is a good challenge and we will see a good contest in the upcoming matches,” he added.
    © Reuters
Despite Root piling on runs, England have paid the price for their over-reliance on their skipper whereas the visitors have proved to be the better side because a number of players have performed at different stages and bailed the team out of trouble.

So, in a way, the Indian team would not be too concerned about Kohli’s individual performance. But, as fans, we would definitely love to see our talisman get among the runs and dominate English bowlers like the way he did in 2018.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reveals that the Cupertino giant tested an under-display Touch ID prototype for the iPhone 13. However, a separate report by BGR tells us that Apple will not be implementing the under-display fingerprint scanner on the final production stage of the next iPhone.

It has been four years since Apple removed the Touch ID on iPhones and went for a facial recognition biometric system. It allowed Apple to remove thick bezels on the top and bottom of the screen. However, due to the pandemic, fresh problems arose where iPhone users were unable to unlock their phones while wearing a mask. As a result, Apple users have been wanting some form of Touch ID more than ever.
Apple came up with a temporary solution for users to unlock smartphones while wearing a mask but it requires users to have an Apple Watch. Since then, Apple has tried to test an under-display Touch ID feature for the next iPhone, however it did not perform up to Apple’s standards. Alternatively, Apple could implement a Touch ID sensor on the power/lock screen button like the iPad Air 2020 but we haven’t heard any murmurs on that front yet.

“While Apple had tested in-screen Touch ID for the next flagship iPhones, it won’t make the cut this year," Gurman said in the Power On newsletter. "I believe Apple is all-in on Face ID for its higher-end iPhones and its long-term goal is to implement Face ID in the display itself.”

This means that Apple may never introduce an under-display fingerprint scanner and instead try implementing a Face ID system under the display. Theoretically, it is possible now that we’ve seen under-display cameras by both Samsung and Xiaomi. Apple might follow in the footsteps of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and implement an array of sensors under the display of a future iPhone.
The next iPhone is rumoured to have a 120Hz display, up to 1TB of internal storage and improved camera features. The smartphone is also expected to be powered by an A15 Bionic chipset that is expected to be far more efficient and powerful than its predecessors.
