    Bollywood’s newest heart-throb, Sushant Singh Rajput bowled everyone with his fabulous performance in 'M. S. Dhoni- The Untold Story'. Besides his excellent acting skills, what many people don’t know about this budding star is that he happily underwent an extreme fitness regime for his part in the film. He is not only a fitness freak but is also a daredevil. His love for adventure is pretty evident from his recent posts on social media. This adventure junkie took off on an impromptu holiday to Dubai following Shah Rukh Khan’s invite and is now making everyone turn green with envy thanks to all the fun adventures he is living off in Dubai.
    The SRK fanboy in him couldn’t resist trying the trademark Badshah pose.
    He made us wish we were with him as he took off on a super cool Paramotor Xcitor.

    He spent the night under the stars on the beach with music; the ultimate dream vacation!

    Virat Kohli is one of the most aggressive and passionate cricketers in the modern-era of the game. For a man who wears his heart up his sleeve, Kohli is definitely not the one to shy away from expressing himself - whether on or off the field.
    And, when the media reports and disturbing videos of Bengaluru's mass molestation case surfaced, the Indian captain was quick to rally behind the victims and condemned the shameful act. Voicing the popular notion about the heinous incident, the Delhi batsman took to social media and shared his video messages.
    Let's stand together and put a stop to these pathetic acts. This country should be safe and equal for all. Women shouldn't be treated differently and there shouldn't be any self created separate rules for them. Change your thinking and the world will change around you. 1/2

    Branding the incident as a cowardly act, Kohli said, "What happened in Bangalore is really disturbing. To see something like that happen to those girls and for people to watch it and not do anything about it is a cowardly act. Those people have no right to call themselves men."
    India has always been infamous for its failure to curb the ever-increasing crimes against women. Whether it's molestation, rape, murder or all of the above, the tolerance of country's general population towards such incidents is a crime in itself. The will or courage of a molester is only as strong as the tolerance of a bystander towards the act.
    And, just like Kohli says it, those onlookers have no right to call themselves men.

    "I have only one question for them: If something like that happened, god forbid, to someone in your own family, would you still stand and watch or would you help?" the 28-year-old raised an important question.
    In India, forget about stopping someone from committing a crime, the general consensus is to refrain from 'getting your hands dirty' by interfering in someone else's business. Remember the Nirbhaya case, where a budding physiotherapist was left to die naked on the road while the passers-by looked from a distance?
    Unfortunately, such incidents are not serious or important for us since we are not affected by it (maybe because somewhere down the line we know our family isn't involved in it). But, what if something like that was happening to our mothers or sisters and an onlooker, rather than coming to their aid, was contemplating the same notion? I think it's high time we change that mentality.

    "I think these things are allowed to happen because they think it's absolutely fine for something like that to happen to a girl since she's wearing short clothes. But, it's her life, her decision and her choice," he added.
    Just like other parts of the world, India, too, has been exposed to the western culture. Our fundamental rights provide us the freedom to express ourselves in the manner we deem fit. Now, that notion might seem okay for men, but when a woman decides to wear what she likes, she's quickly labelled as a whore with low moral values.
    Not only she's looked down upon, a woman wearing a short dress is also an apparent invitation for men to approach or target her (in Bengaluru's case: grope her, thrash her and molest her). The Indian Test captain highlighted a very obvious, but extremely important, thing we tend to forget.

    Slamming the obnoxious statements of certain politicians (Abu Azmi and G Parameshwara) about the incident, Kohli said, "For men to accept that it's an opportunity for us to do something like this and get away with it and then people in power trying to defend it, is absolutely horrible."
    If the crimes against women in India aren't shambolic enough, certain extremists - who unfortunately live to blame the western influences for almost everything - know the perfect way to grab more limelight than the incident itself. And, sadly, some of them turn out to be the politicians running our country.
    In Bengaluru's case, the perpetrators were yet to be arrested, but the Samajwadi Party politician Abu Azmi and Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara became Public Enemy No. 1 for their insensitive comments. From blaming the "nudity in fashion" to women going out after dark "asking for it", Azmi's shambolic comments only damaged the incident further.

    Urging people to change their mindset, Kohli said: "The fact that these things seem acceptable to certain people in our society is disturbing and shocking. I am ashamed to be a part of such society. We need to change our thinking. We need to treat men and women in the same way. Be respectful and treat women with some compassion. Think, what if, we were the family members of those girls, how would we feel about it."
    India has been a mere witness to the long-standing debate focussed on equality for women in the society. Women are no longer the domestic aids, only restricted to the household chores. Rather, a modern woman is competitive enough to give their male counterparts a run for their money.
    Just like men, with adequate education and impeccable skill-set, women are leading in sports, business and almost every strata of the society. but, despite their achievements, women are not considered competitive enough and hence struggle to attain equality. Similar to Kohli's opinion, I think it's time we start respecting them and treat them with compassion.
    Sports mirrors society and just like any other aspect of culture, it can act as a mechanism for both political and societal change. The ability of sportspersons to make an impression on the country's youth undoubtedly enables them to influence the minds of their fans on issues other than sports. And, Kohli seems to be setting a rare example here.

    Om Puri, the veteran actor whose contribution to Indian cinema is immeasurable, breathed his last today. A Padma Shri awardee, Om Puri made his mark in not only Indian cinema, but Pakistani and British cinema as well. Critically acclaimed for his roles in movies like ‘Ardh Satya’, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’, and ‘Mirch Masala’, the actor has a long filmography to his credit. He also worked in many Hollywood films like ‘Gandhi’, ‘City of Joy’ and ‘The Hundred-Foot Journey’.

    Born in Ambala, Punjab, Om Puri hailed from a humble middle-class family. With a Punjabi medium schooling and average looks, breaking in the star-studded film industry was a distant dream, but Om Puri was in no hurry. It all started when he performed in a play in his college and impressed one of the judges who invited him to study at National School of Drama. The rest, as we all know, is history. 
    Beginning his career with the Marathi film ‘Ghasiram Kotwal’ in 1976, Om Puri went on to become one of Indian cinema’s most talented and mature actors. We take a look at some of his most memorable roles. 
    Ardh Satya  Govind Nihalani’s 1983-masterpiece ‘Ardh Satya’ is probably one of the best works Indian cinema has seen. With a screenplay written by famous playwright Vijay Tendulkar, the film went on to win awards and critical acclaim alike. Om Puri, who played the protagonist – a policeman trying to come to terms with a deep existential crisis triggered by the evil around him – delivered one of the best performances of his life. He won the national award for the best actor for this one too. So intense was the role and so great his conviction, Om Puri broke down during the filming of the scene in which he recites the famous poem.

    The 1983 classic by Kundan Shah is one of Indian cinema’s most iconic films. Stalwarts Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Satish Shah, Neena Gupta, Satish Kaushik, along with Om Puri, made the film an absolute gem of Indian cinema. Om Puri, as the corrupt builder Ahuja, provided much comic relief to the political satire. 
    East Is East  One of Om Puri’s best international performances, the British comedy-drama ‘East Is East’ won multiple awards at film festivals, including the London Critics Circle Film Award for the screenplay. Playing the patriarch of a family of mixed ethnicity settled in London, Om Puri was hilarious in the role.

    A Govind Nihalani film, ‘Aakrosh’ won the national award for best film. A social and political satire based on the works of Vijay Tendulkar, the film’s acute portrayal of the suffering of the oppressed was moving. As Lahanya Bhiku, the poor peasant who doesn’t utter a word almost throughout the film, Om Puri brought out the immense trauma of the character powerfully, without dialogues. He won the Filmfare award for best supporting actor for this one.

    Portraying the character of a poor farmer struggling under feudalism, Om Puri won his first National award for Best Actor for ‘Arohan’. The film, directed by Shyam Benegal, also won the National award for best feature film.

    Ketan Mehta’s 1987 film ‘Mirch Masala’ is another gem of Hindi cinema. While Smita Patil and Naseeruddin Shah delivered outstanding performances in the lead roles, Om Puri made his presence felt as Abu Mian, the factory gatekeeper, who refuses to open the gates of the factory and guards the women with his life. 
    Maachis Gulzar’s film ‘Maachis’, based on the aftermath of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination, was a masterpiece. Om Puri as Sanathan, the leader of a small group of Sikh militants, gave a splendid performance, along with the other actors.

    Richard Attenborough’s Oscar-winning film starred many Indian veterans like Amrish Puri, Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak, besides Om Puri. Though he had a small role, with a screen time of 1.5 minutes, it was one of the most powerful scenes of the movie and left the audience with a lump in the throat.

    Clearly, one of the most versatile actors in the Hindi film industry, Om Puri could pull off comic roles with as much ease as the intense ones. Playing Ballu, a dairy farmer eyeing the local lottery, he along with Paresh Rawal created laugh riot in ‘Malamaal Weekly’. It takes a truly fine actor to switch personalities and mould himself into a character so brilliantly. 
    Chachi 420 In what was essentially Kamal Haasan’s film, Om Puri managed a perfect caricature of the pesky manager, Banwari Lal Pandit.

    The actor was at his slapstick best as the middle-aged man desperate to get married in ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’. Although the movie bombed, Om Puri’s performance deserves a mention. And who can forget his wonderful voiceover for Bagheera in ‘Jungle Book’? 
    Om Puri’s filmography is long and his contribution to the Hindi film industry invaluable. There are only a handful of actors whose body of work is so vast and so varied. These are just some of the stellar performances by Om Puri that we are in awe of. What’s your favourite?

    I was a regular school kid and spent most of my time either studying or eating out with friends. Being a Mumbai resident, I had a thing for street food and ate a lot of it. I was never fat but not in shape in either. Blame it on my eating habits; I got into a really bad shape. I wanted to challenge myself and do something good other than studies and hogging on junk food. My initial motivation was to look good. I started with a single body part spilt but got no results in the beginning. I was told that if I’d consume mass gainers and whey protein I will gain a lot of muscle. So, I spent tons of money on idiotic supplements. I would gain a lot of fat weight every month but no muscle whatsoever. I started watching fitness YouTube channels and began to follow a Push Pull Legs training split. I started working out persistently from January 2016, though it helped me in putting on some muscle but my body was still oddly shaped. 

    It seemed pathetic to me that after so much hard work and effort I couldn’t get into decent shape. I then decided to cut down and diet seriously. Stopped consuming homemade food and all I would eat was boiled food day in day out. It helped reduce my weight but it was short lived and still looked out of shape with no muscle mass. I was severely disappointed. Though I was doing everything I could possibly do, I was still failing.  I came across Yash Sharma’s YouTube channel. His transformation video re-fueled my inspiration. I contacted him for his online training schedule and my program started from September2016. I thought he would put me on a very strict diet but to my surprise, the first thing he did was make me have lunch with family every day. I had forgotten how my mother’s homemade daal, roti tasted like. I consumed my favorite foods every day, just in the right quantities. Meal moderation was the key here. We continued with Push Pull Legs workout split. I did cardio 2-4 times a week with 2 sessions of low intensity and 2 sessions of high intensity. After 4 months of consistency, this is how I look.

    Starting January 2017, I am on a lean bulk phase. I’m enjoying my fitness journey more than ever before. Loyalty and dedication towards getting fitter and keeps me away from alcohol and partying every day like most of my college mates. To be honest it is very delightful and fun. Try it yourself; I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it too!

    Xiaomi  unveiled its near bezel-less smartphones, the Mi Mix last year in China. At the time of the launch, the company also showed off two variants of the smartphone and both came in black colour options only. Now, the Chinese tech company has introduced a new colour variant of the same device - Pearl White.
    The Pear White version of the Xiaomi Mi Mix was unveiled by the company Global VP Hugo Barra at the company's CES 2017 event. It has also been confirmed that the smartphone will be hitting the shelves in its home turf this year itself.
    Although no price was mentioned for the new colour variant, we assume the cost will remain the same as the black colour variants. It is worth adding that there is no change in the specifications of the smartphone.

    The Xiaomi Mi Mix comes in two variants based on RAM and inbuilt storage combinations. While the 4GB RAM+128GB storage variant costs CNY 3499, the 6GB RAM+ 256GB handset is priced at CNY 3,999. The 6GB RAM variant comes with 18K gold-plated camera and fingerprint sensor ring. The phablet boasts of a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, similar to the one we recently saw in Sharp Acquos smartphone series.

    The dual-SIM supporting Xiaomi Mi Mix sports a 6.4-inch 2040x1080 display and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. It is backed by a 4400mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The phone comes with a 16MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front-facing camera. The camera can record videos in 4K resolution as well. The front-facing camera is located in the lower corner on the front panel.
    The fingerprint sensor has been placed on the back panel below the camera and LED flash setup. Xiaomi says its concept smartphone features piezoelectric ceramic earpiece speakers and behind-display ultrasonic sensors.
    Xiaomi at CES 2017 also launched its latest television called the Mi TV 4. The Mi TV 4 is said to be 30% thinner than an iPhone at its thinnest corner. The TV comes in three variants based on the screen size - 45-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch.

    No seriously, Indian culture is a delicate little thing. A woman’s skirt rides up an inch above the knee and it comes down like a deck of cards.     MS Dhoni broke a million hearts across the globe when he announced his decision to step down as Team India's limited-overs captain, late on Wednesday. His decision has now paved the way for Virat Kohli to take over across all formats.
    Eleven days before the first ODI against England, in Pune, Dhoni informed the BCCI that he decided to renounce his captaincy from both ODI and T20 formats. "Mahendra Singh Dhoni has informed the BCCI that he wishes to step down as the captain of the Indian cricket team for One-Day International and T20 International formats of the game," a press release from BCCI CEO Rahul Johri said.

    Despite relinquishing his captaincy, the good news is that Dhoni will still be available for selection; something his fans will truly cherish. Also, freed from the responsibilities of leading a side, Dhoni will now be able to focus on his batting that has taken a toll over the past few years.
    Following Dhoni's announcement, the cricket fraternity rallied behind their pragmatic leader to pay tribute to his accomplishments as the Indian captain. Amongst fans, teammates and former cricketers, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also paid a tribute to Dhoni with a unique video.

    While the rest of the country was welcoming the New Year with much joy and fervour, women in Bengaluru were trying to protect their lives from the hands of reprehensible eve-teasers, who left no stone unturned in making the New Year’s Eve a nightmare for them.
    From groping and harassing to beating and sexually molesting the women, the Bengaluru incident has yet again brought to light a question that was shoved deep beneath the ground for some time now – Can women ever feel safe in this country? Some of our ‘honourable’ ministers are trying to defend the act with their comments that blame the women and the Western culture for this mishap, but the fact remains that the country has once again failed to provide protection to the women and are only trying to find ways to justify their dereliction.

    However, with their overwhelming response, people have proved that they are not going to stay quiet this time and will do whatever it takes to fight for the justice. Bollywood too has been very vocal about the entire incident and has been constantly condemning the entire incident.     Condemning the insensitive statements made by the politicians on women, Anushka said that one should teach their kids to respect women, instead of making them feel more entitled and important. She ended her post, she wrote “Save your sons from turning into such beasts. And spare us the grief.”
    Despite all this, there was one troll who tried to make fun of Anushka by picking the issue of casting couch in Bollywood.

    The Bangalore Mass Molestation took the nation by storm and hit it hard with an uncomfortable truth about how unsafe India is for women.

    In a new development, Delhi Metro has checked off lighters and matchboxes from the list of prohibited items. “Apart from one lighter and one matchbox per passenger, we have also allowed passengers to carry tools. We received several requests as labourers travel by metro and carry tools for work,” a CISF official said.

    But what seems to be the highlight of this new development is the fact that CISF is also allowing women to carry small pocket knives in the Delhi Metro now. And we don’t really know what to feel about it. Of course, women safety is the biggest concern in this country, but will this new amendment lead to more unruly behavior?

    When it comes to cricketers on social media, Virender Sehwag's wit and uncanny humour reigns supreme. While Sehwag has set the bar for the cricketers off the field, another former Indian batsman is also making his presence felt on social media platforms.
    Whether it's about slamming absurd trolls or coming to the rescue of his former teammate, Mohammad Kaif, of late, has become actively involved on both Facebook and Twitter. At a time when some extremists have questioned Mohammad Shami's religion due to his wife's attire, Kaif didn't shy away from shutting them down with his own words of wisdom.
    Few months back, after being mistaken for a Bihar-based sharpshooter - who happened to be his namesake, Kaif came out on Twitter to clear the air with a hilarious tweet.

    If cricket is a religion in India, then Mumbai is arguably the city that produces 'potential gods' of the game. No other city has shared more stories in India's rich cricketing history than Mumbai. Whether it's their dominance over Ranji Trophy or the iconic Azad Maidan, Mumbai has always been influential in the growth of Indian cricket over the years.
    Back in the 50s, playing for Mumbai was almost as difficult as playing for India. Such was its dominance that, between 1952 to 1956, there were six occasions where as many as seven cricketers in the Indian cricket team were from Mumbai.
    Mumbai's dominance in Indian cricket continued in the 80s and the 90s, with eight of its cricketers - including the legendary Sachin Tendulkar - making their international debuts. Tendulkar, who rose through Mumbai's cricketing culture to scale international heights, made his first-class debut in 1988 and scored a ton in his first-ever, outing for Mumbai.
    Fast-forward to 2017, where reigning Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai, gunning for their 42nd title, saw a 17-year-old Prithvi Shaw emulating Tendulkar and notching up a debut hundred during the semi-finals clash against two-time champions Tamil Nadu.

After Tendulkar, who achieved the milestone at the age of 15, he is also the second youngest Mumbai batsman to reach the feat.
    Inducted into the Mumbai side in place of Kevin Almeida, Shaw missed out in the first innings before making amends with a memorable hundred in the second innings to propel Mumbai to the final. Mumbai will now face Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy final, slated to begin from 10 January in Indore.

    Born on 9 November 1999, Shaw's story will remind you of the early days of other Mumbai prodigies like Ajinkya Rahane and Tendulkar. Just like the two Indian stars, Shaw, too, had to make the long trips to hone his skills.
    Before the age of 10, Shaw was already travelling to and from Virar, a suburb 65 Kms north of Mumbai, to the fairly central Bandra - a journey that takes 1 hour and 45 minutes - to practice with the experienced campaigners.
    The only family Shaw has is his father, who runs a struggling garment business. However, timely intervention and support from a local MLA saw Shaw and his father move into an apartment in Santacruz East - ten minutes away from Bandra's MIG club.
    As far as his education is concerned, Shaw's school - Rizvi Springfields - takes care of his tuition fee. Shaw also earns a scholarship to help his father run the house.
    Record-breaking innings
    If you thought scoring a hundred on his Ranji debut was the only thing Shaw had achieved so far, think again. The 17-year-old etched his name into the history books after smashing 546 runs during a Harris Shield match at the Azad Maidan in November 2013.
    His innings lasted 367 minutes, spanned over two days and included a staggering 85 fours and five sixes to help his team - Rizvi Springfield - take an 899-run first-innings lead in the A division match against St Francis D'Assisi. During his 330-ball innings, Shaw shared a 619-run stand for the second wicket with Satyalaksh Jain - who scored 164.
    Incidentally, Tendulkar's then-world-record partnership of 664 runs with Vinod Kambli also came in the same tournament. Shaw's marathon innings of 546 runs was also the highest individual score in school cricket until Pranav Dhanawade came along with his incredible knock of 1009 in January 2016.

    Following his record-breaking innings, Shaw, at an age of just 14 years, bagged a lucrative Rs 36-lakh endorsement deal with cricket equipment manufacturer SG - who have been endorsed by stalwarts like Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag in the past. 
    The sponsorship, spanned over a six-year period, eased the financial tensions of the Mumbai prodigy and helped him focus solely on his game.

    Having impressed cricket pundits and local scouts, Shaw was handed a crucial opportunity to play in the Yorkshire Cricket League in 2014. As part of a global exchange programme organised by Cricket Beyond Boundaries (CBB), Shaw and the other players from under-privileged sections were offered a four-week stint in the Yorkshire League.
    While representing Cleethorpes CC, Shaw impressed with the bat in trying conditions during the competitive league. Apart from batting, Shaw was also influential with the ball for his side. The right-arm off-spinner recorded a five-wicket haul while defending 268 on a good batting track against Harrogate.

    Ever since taking over the role of Team India's U-19 head coach, no one knows the country's assembly line better than Rahul Dravid. The former Indian cricketer, who had earlier endorsed the rise of Jayant Yadav, Karun Nair and Hardik Pandya to India's Test squad, was pivotal in Shaw's inclusion in the Mumbai side this season.
    Dravid began working closely with Shaw after the Mumbai teen was included in India's under-19 team for the Asia Cup in 2016. With 191 runs in five games, Shaw emerged as the fourth-highest scorer in the tournament, eventually won by India.
    "I was very nervous and was under pressure before the start of the tournament. But Dravid Sir told me that I was playing well and asked me to just concentrate on playing my natural game. He also told me that enjoying the game is vital for a good performance," Shaw revealed.
    Given the accomplishments early in his career, it shouldn't be a far-fetched dream to believe that Shaw will soon be seen playing alongside the likes of Virat Kohli and emulating Tendulkar's feats on the international circuit.

    When President-elect Donald Trump will be giving his inaugural speech on January 20, some people on will be flying high on clouds of smoke, thanks to the free joints that will be handed out by marijuana legalization group DCMJ (DC Cannabis Coalition). Not just 10 or 20, but 4,200 marijuana joints! Yep, you read that right. Guess, even the activists understand that listening to him speak with a sound mind will be too much to go through. Well, jokes apart, this move is a part of the campaign to legalise marijuana on a federal level in the US.

    The Washington based group, DCMJ, was founded in the year 2013. Urging more people to join them, the DCMJ has asked people to participate in the demonstration to gather at the west side of Dupont Circle, Washington DC. Just in case you are thinking this is some sort of hoax or prank, these guys are super serious about their agenda and have printed pamphlets and planned the entire itinerary. 

     According to the group, at around 8 AM they will start handing out joints on the Westside, since recreational marijuana is legal in that area. They will then walk towards the National Mall and at 4 minutes and 20 seconds into Trump’s speech they will light up their joints. Reportedly, they have even named the ceremony as ‘Trump 420’. The concept is in reference to April 20, when  National Weed Day is celebrated.

    Why we use drugs? 
    There’s a lot that’s been said about the people who do drugs. They’ve been called druggies, cheapjacks, tomfools and so on. Over time, a general consensus has come to agree on one very strong notion—that those who use drugs are not serious about anything. An elderly woman’s opinion about drug use would differ hugely from the views of a well-settled millennial with a penchant for substance abuse.

    But, maybe we’re asking the wrong question. Maybe we shouldn’t be asking why, as much as we should be asking how and to what decree. We need to change the question in order to see the reason.
    The answer to because doesn’t always start with why.
    How are we consuming drugs? How are we getting it? Where are we consuming it? Under what circumstances?

    On reading the entire report, one learns that India doesn’t feature all that prominently. We are only mentioned in fragments—around the opium and parts of the synthetic drug studies mostly. To a layman, this would seem that India’s drug culture prevalence is inconsequential. But, reading between the lines will shed light on the fact that the lack of evidence, or mention, thereof is only a tip of the iceberg. The deeper problem is that while drug use in India might not be in numbers consequential enough to find prominence at the UN, our numbers are substantial enough to become a staggering problem in the very near future.

    WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS? India is one of the youngest nations in the world, in terms of our age demographics wherein most of our population is between the ages of an average 15 to 40. Most of the drug consumption in the country is by individuals and groups that fall largely within this age group; statistical evidence is not required to quantify this fact.

    If we merge these two metrics, what is absolutely infallible is that in the very near future, we will be a nation of young adults with a considerable drug problem, if the issue is not addressed at the initial stages. The only way we can realize the issue at hand is by talking about it; addressing it in an understanding manner, without pointing fingers and calling drugs and drug use taboo. The more open the discussion is, the more likely are we to prevent the use from turning into an abuse; courtesy of peer pressure, the age of experimentalism and the influence of pop culture references.

    A comparatively lesser known method, yet, known by a substantial number is what is known as the Dark Web; available to be browsed through an Onion Router; better known as TOR—it functions like an Internet Explorer for the Dark Web. The purchase and sale of drugs are easy on the dark web due to the level of anonymity it offers. The IP addresses are blanketed and the routers keep changing. Through places like 4Chan and the Silk Route, purchasing drugs on the dark web becomes increasingly possible.

    For substances like weed and hash, your friendly neighbourhood panwari, or the autorickshaw guy is the local dealer and source of the best quality cannabis. A set of friends from Bangalore deal through a woman, dressed in a burqa who drives around on her bike and calls herself Mona. Sources in Mumbai mentioned another such lady they knew, who ran a local cigarette stall, until the police raided the whole place down. For stronger substances, like Cocaine, most traffickers come from outside and use India as a transit point for their trade and so, make money along their way by selling to a class of an urban youth with a certain socio-economic standard. According to the UN World Drug Report 2016 opium and cocaine comes in to the country majorly from Afghanistan and the African countries, respectively.

    When Apple announced a Jet Black version of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, it was greeted with much applause and praise. People were angry because they were unable to get their hands on the Jet Black variant of the iPhone 7. It looks absolutely beautiful and the glossy mirror finish created an effect that made the iPhone 7 look as if it has no borders or bezels. Unfortunately, the manufacturing process of the Jet Black version was complex and the supply was restricted and constrained for months.

    Granted, many people were angry at the time but if they had a look at Jet Black iPhone 7 today they would likely breathe sighs of relief. The best thing about the Jet Black version is also the worst thing about the phone. It really comes down to the finishing of the phone. Even Apple made sure to release a disclaimer saying that the glossy finish phone is prone to scratches. The disclaimer read as follows:

    Even though the disclaimer was quite clear cut, many people ignored the warning and still went ahead and bought the glossy iPhone 7. Many people wanted to show off the glossy feature and refused to use it with a protective cover. A Reddit user shared a photo of his Jet Black iPhone 7 after using it for 2 months without a protective cover and this picture below shows how bad it can get.

    The Reddit user noted in his post that the scratching on the Jet Black finish is only noticeable at certain angles to the light. The phone still manages to look great from other angles and away from bright light. 
    If only there was a way Apple could make it durable. Hmmm…

    Ask Google what the meaning of a dream is. It will tell you that dreams are a “series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person’s mind during sleep.” But, for Olga Beno from Nova Scotia, it was the key to winning a jackpot worth $ 5.3 million Canadian dollars (over Rs. 27 crore approximately).

    According to Beno, she dreamt of the winning set of numbers in 1989 and she’s been using the same lottery numbers for 28 years. Hats off to her memory though! Beno had to sell her house to raise funds for her treatment, after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Now that she has finally won the lottery, she is planning to build a ranch-style home with the prize money.

    So how did this miracle happen? As quoted by the Atlantic Lottery, Beno said, “I know my numbers by heart and I thought I saw them on the television screen evening after the draw, but my eyes aren’t good.” The next day, Beno was flipping through the newspaper pages when she came across the same numbers. Initially, she thought it was a mistake. “Then I said to my sister, ‘I think I won the lottery’. ‘Phone me back when you want to tell me the truth’,” she further added. Honestly, we would probably feel the same way! After all it’s not every day that you win a ton of money.

    Reportedly, Beno is not the only one to win this lottery. The second ticket was sold in western Canada. The overjoyed winner, Beno, is now planning to spoil her husband, children and grandchildren by taking them to Disney World. She also mentioned how her family helped her survive the illness. Her lottery win sounds like a plot straight out of a fantasy movie where a random dream, some 30 years ago, changed her life forever for good.

    Arguably the most popular and definitely the most scrutinised Indian cricketer in modern era, MS Dhoni will always be remembered as India's most-successful captain across all formats. Having won the 2007 World T20, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy, Dhoni became the first-ever captain to win all the major ICC tournaments.
    He has done so coming from the cricketing backwaters, the mining state of Jharkhand, and through a home-made batting and wicket-keeping technique, and a style of captaincy that scaled the highs and lows of both conservatism and unorthodoxy. But, as all good things come to an end, Dhoni's era, too, reached a saturation point and he announced his retirement from the longest version of the game in 2014.
    After ending his Test career and with Virat Kohli breathing down his neck, Dhoni's resignation as skipper in limited-overs cricket was long time coming. There were questions being asked for a while. Will he? Won't he? But more importantly, when will he step down as Indian captain?
    But, like a typical MS Dhoni finish, the Jharkhand cricketer kept everyone guessing till the end. While many would have expected their pragmatic leader to lead India to the 2017 Champions Trophy title before hanging up his boots, Dhoni's sudden withdrawl from captaincy is probably a sign of something more important to come.
    Even if the timing of Dhoni's decision to renounce captaincy from all formats is somewhat questionable, the move is likely to benefit Indian cricket in the coming days.

    That Dhoni will never lead India on a cricket field is surely hard to fathom, but the move might just give Dhoni, the batsman, a last wind to his cricketing career.
    Remember the unbeaten 183-run innings in 2005 where a blond-streaked and fearless Dhoni traumatised the Sri Lankan bowling attack and announced his arrival on the international circuit as one of the most destructive middle-order batsman? Well, over the years, the Dhoni we all were once exposed to, took a backseat amid the other, more important, responsibilities as captain.
    But, today, free from the responsibilities that saw him change from colored streaks to grey hair, the focus is likely to hit the rewind button. With endless possibilities in the coming days for Dhoni, we might see a lot more of those last-over duels that raised the tempo or we could see a complete limited-overs batsman finally getting a chance to nurture his innings and showcase his lesser-seen skills.
    Either way, the end of the captaincy era doesn't necessarily mean that it can't be the start of another small, yet fruitful, one.

    Ever since taking up the captaincy, Dhoni's reign as Indian skipper was like no other. Under his leadership, India won the top prize in all formats and held the no. 1 Test rank for 18 months starting from December 2009. But over the past few years, Dhoni's captaincy and his batting came under heavy criticism and the Jharkhand cricketer was smart enough to know it.
    Realising his frailties in the game, Dhoni didn't just give up his Test captaincy; rather he called the curtains on his career in the longest format. Not the one to carry the dead weight along, Dhoni acknowledged Kohli's abilities to lead the Indian side and thus renounced his captaincy from all formats.
    It's something England Test Captain, Alastair Cook could learn from. Cook's ability to lead the English side has diminished over the years and his batting, too, has come under immense criticism. With Joe Root lurking in the shadows to take over the role, Cook is yet to give up his captaincy while the England cricket team continues to struggle in the longest version of the game.

    Breaking into the international scene in 2004, Dhoni didn't respect reputations, but never disrespected them either. His batting didn't look elegant, but he learned and improvised to become a multi-faceted, limited-overs batsman - one who could accumulate, one who could rebuild and one who could still unleash those big hits.
    But, while captaining India is undoubtedly a privilege, the demands and pressures that come with it are also incredible. And, no one probably understands it better than Dhoni. Donning multiple hats of a captain, a batsman and a wicket-keeper, somehow took a toll on his natural game. The right-hander, who was once a match-winner for India, is no longer a force to be reckoned with.
    So, given his decision to step down as India's captain, the 35-year-old can surely use the time away from the responsibilities of leading the side to reflect on his game and return as the match-winner he once was.

    Just when you thought the megapixel war was over, Asus is now responsible for ramping up the game, as they have introduced a new phone that is capable of taking 92-megapixel pictures. Yep, you read that right!
    Companies are now investing time and money in virtual reality, as they want to usher in a new form of technology on their mobile devices. You can now add ASUS to that list as well. ASUS announced a new phone at CES that will fuse the world of mixed and virtual reality into their handsets and it seems like it might work for them.

    The Asus ZenFone AR is coming up with both VR and Augmented Reality (AR) technology that will be along the same lines as Daydream and Google’s Tango project. The phone will be using a new processor i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 which will work fluidly with Asus’s new features. 
    The ZenFone AR will be the second phone that will include Google Tango, which is essentially software that is used for 3D mapping. Tango requires three separate cameras in order to function which the ZenPhone will be including in order to facilitate motion tracking, room mapping and measuring depth. The software will be able to detect how far the phone is from a well, where it is located in the building and how far is the distance between two points.

    The Tango platform will let people overlay digital images onto the real world, for example, play interactive games that can combine the real and the digital world. It can also be used to map your room so that you can decide which piece of furniture will fit well in the grand scheme of things. Basically, you can overlay any digital image over anything you like. 
    The phone will also be ready for Google Daydream i.e. it can be transformed into a VR device very easily. However, you will need the Google Daydream headset in order to use this function. 
    The phone also has some crazy camera specs that are required for Google Tango. Asus claims that the ZenFone AR has the highest resolution camera sensor (Sony IMX318) on the rear, which is used to deliver four native 23-megapixel photos. These four images are merged into a single image – something ASUS like to call a 92-megapixel “super resolution” photo. According to the company, these pictures will have four times the clarity and will also have less noise in pictures as compared to other HD photos. However, you probably know that is already being done by the Google Pixel’s camera. 
    The ZenFone AR does not have a set price right now and it is uncertain when this phone will be released in India. It is expected to drop anytime in Q2 of 2017 and it’s safe to say that this is one of the more exciting phone announcements from CES 2017.
