Hankook Mirae, a Korean company that has been working hard to develop a life-sized mech that actually works. You might remember the Matrix or the Avatar where humans could pilot mech robots. Well, our dreams have come true as Hollywood SFX veteran posted a video of a mech robot that actually works.
    © Vitaly Bulgarov
The machine is 13-feet-tall, and weighs around 1.3-ton and can be piloted by a human much like in science fiction movies. It was made so that humans can work in extreme conditions where they cannot go unprotected. However, it will not be used in rescue missions yet since it requires a power source that is portable.
Human-machine interface and arm motion test! "METHOD-2" large manned robot project for which I had a pleasure to make the design. Very fortunate to be part of the incredible Hankook Mirae Technology team. (previously posted as Korea Future Technology since "Hankook" means "South Korea" in Korean Language and "Mirae" means "Future")team. #hankookmiraetechnology #koreafuturetechnology #industrialdesign #robot #mech
A video posted by Vitaly Bulgarov (@vitalybulgarov) on Dec 15, 2016 at 3:12pm PST
You can see that the Mech suit, which might look straight out of ‘Avatar’, mirrors the movement of the pilot’s arms.
Vitaly Bulgarov, who has worked on movies like ‘Robocop’, ‘Transformers’ and ‘Terminator’, created the mech suit. According to Bulgorov, the short-term goal requires them to develop a platform for such robots where it can be used for industrial applications. They can also mount the Mech on a larger wheeled base, which can be used as a power source in rough terrains.

You can watch the Mech suit walk right here:

And here is another video where you can see Bulgarov controlling the Mech suit’s arms:

Made to stand naked for more than half a day, her private parts were examined, her gender was questioned and finally she was labelled a man. Santhi Soundarajan underwent humiliation like no other. And if that wasn't enough, the Indian track and field athlete was also stripped off her hard-earned 2006 Asian Games silver and subsequently the 11 other medals she had won for her country.
Having failed a gender test, Santhi was diagnosed with hyperandrogenism, which is characterized by circulation of excessive testosterone in the female body. Banned from participating in athletics and all her achievements wiped out, Santhi fell into such despair that she even tried to kill herself.
But, who gets to decide the definition of a woman? Santhi did not fail a gender test, rather she failed to meet IOC's definition of what constitutes 'female'. She was branded as a male and as a cheat, yet she is neither.
After a decade-long struggle and innumerable hardships, a part of Santhi's glory was restored after the Tamil Nadu Sports Minister K Randiarajan appointed her as a permanent athletic coach under Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu. But, for Santhi, the justice came a tad too late.
    Do read & share pic.twitter.com/VNORzzTV8c
    — Santhi Soundarajan (@SanthiSoundrajn) December 25, 2016 Santhi was 25 when she was stripped off her medals in 2006. A career that looked bright was brought to an end at a time when all sorts of possibilities lay in front of her. Today, Santhi is 35 and even if the Indian authorities have decided to restore her achievements and offer her a coaching role, the fact that India lost a potential medal winner in athletics, clearly stands out.
As we enter into a New Year, here's the story of India's forgotten star who fought against all odds to re-emerge as a national hero.
    Early Struggles © Facebook
Born into a poor family of brick-kiln labourers in a rural village of southern Tamil Nadu, Santhi grew up in a 20-by-5 hut alongside four of her younger siblings. With a family income not exceeding Rs 300 a week, Santhi overcame malnutrition as a child to become a middle-distance runner.
While her parents travelled to the other town to work, Santhi was in charge of taking care of her younger siblings. But, she found adequate support from her grandfather who, being an accomplished runner himself, taught her to run on a open stretch of dirt outside their hut.
Making Of A Champion © Facebook
It was in the eighth grade when Santhi made her presence felt after winning a tin cup at an interschool competition. Santhi went on to win 13 more cups at multiple school events. Realising her potential, Santhi's sports coach recruited her at his high school.
The school paid for her tuition and provided her with hot lunches. It was also the first time Santhi had ever eaten three meals a day in her life. Soon, she got a scholarship from Arts college in Pudukkottai and the following year, she transferred to a college in Chennai.
Santhi recorded the national record for the women's 3000-metres steeplechase clocking 10:44:65 seconds. In July 2005, she won the 800m, 1500m and 3000m events at a national meet in Bangalore. Her domination at home earned her a spot in the Indian contingent for the 2005 Asian Championships in Incheon where she bagged a silver medal in the 800m event.
    Fall From Grace © Reuters
The year 2006 was arguably the biggest year for Santhi. The ever-improving athlete was chosen to represent India at the coveted Asian Games. In the 800m event, Santhi repaid the faith of her coaches by clinching the silver medal with a timing of 2:03:16 seconds, beating the likes of Viktoriya Yalovtseva from Kazakhstan.
But, as the nation prepared itself to celebrate the triumph of her daughter, their jubilation quickly turned into sorrow, culminating into sheer agony and humiliation for Santhi. Her silver medal was questioned and subsequently taken away after she failed a gender test, establishing that she does not possess the sexual characteristics of a woman.
After being told that she couldn't compete in sports, Santhi returned to her village in humiliation and promptly fell into serious depression. Months later, she tried to kill herself by ingesting a type of poison used for veterinarians.
Reeling Under Fate's Bitter Blow © Reuters
In 2007, the Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi awarded Santhi a TV set and a cash prize of Rs 1.5 million despite failing the gender test at the Asian Games. Santhi spent her reward money on her students - an average of 68 (trainees) who aren't charged any fee.
By 2009, her academy was reaping benefits with her trainees bagging the first and third position at the Chennai marathon. However, in order to make ends meet, Santhi was forced to work as a daily-wager in a brick klin, slogging eight hours under a scorching sun to earn Rs 200 a day.
While Santhi was abandoned by her country, the tale of South Africa's middle-distance runner Caster Semenya is a contrasting story altogether. Semenya, who also failed a gender test at the 2009 Berlin World Championship, was thoroughly backed by her country.
The Proteas fought hard to safeguard Semenya's dignity and position in world sports which eventually resulted in the International Association of Athletics Federations revoking the ban on her in 2011. And at the 2012 London Olympics, Semenya was made the flag-bearer of South Africa.
    Justice Or Settlement? © Reuters
In March 2016, Santhi filed an RTI petition to seek her gender test report, communications, correspondence related to the 2006 Asian Games. But, she received a negative contradicting reply from them.
It wasn't until September when the National Commission fro Scheduled Castes (NCSC) served a notice to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in response to Santhi's petition. And finally in December, Santhi received her appointment order for a permanent athletic coach under Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.
But, despite getting a government job after three years of hardship, Santhi's biggest honour - the 2006 Asian Games silver - is yet to be restored. The medals are the symbol of an athlete's hard work and dedication. So, rather than providing Santhi the sympathy, let's hope that the Indian authorities rally behind their athletes to ensure that no other sportsperson undergoes a similar fate.

Your aesthetics are of no use if you can’t perform outside of the gym in the real world. The sad truth is that most of the workouts we do at the regular gyms hardly serve to any principals of functionality. Most dudes don’t even stretch post a workout, let alone training for functionality. If you are looking to add a functional training workout to your routine and build some serious real world strength, start doing the ‘animal crawls’. These are very basic primal multi joint body movements that our anatomy is actually programmed to do. They will work your muscles as a unit like they are supposed to be moved and take your joint mobility, agility and joint health to a new level.
    1) Bear Crawl Have your hands flat on the floor with toes touching the ground, not the heels. Now crawl forward like a bear with right hand and left foot co-ordination. Keep your back straight.
    2) Gorilla Crawl Seen how a gorilla goes? Fists first and legs then, that’s how they move. Sit like a gorilla with clinched fists and knuckles touching the ground. Now sit in a deep squat position. No, parallel won’t do. Sit deep. Now hands together move first and then the legs come forward to meet.
    3) Crab Crawl Sit on the ground with your hands resting behind you. Now pull yourself up with your palms and ankles on the floor and start moving backwards. Right foot left hand co-ordination here as well and move forward, backward or side-to-side.
    4) Spiderman Crawl Get into a push-up position and move forward with your right knee coming forward and touching your right elbow.
    5) Inch Worm Crawl It’s tough and requires a good degree of stretchability. Check out the tutorial.
You can best include it in your off-days or on the days you primarily focus on stretching and mobility.

If there’s one cricketer who has been hitting sixes off the field too, it’s Virender Sehwag whose witty tweets kept us entertained all of last year. Ending the year on a happy note, Viru asked his fans what their favourite tweets/moments with him were.
Tweet the best moments you had with me this year. How did I contribute to joy in your life ?
Please share tweet screenshots, moments u liked
    — Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) December 31, 2016 And guess who thanked him? Piers Morgan, the British journalist who made news when he tweeted to Sehwag and tried to troll Indians celebrating PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik’s silver and bronze medals at the Rio Olympics.
You got me trending in India for days & 1000s of new followers. Thanks mate. https://t.co/yc4bhL1Hwc
    — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 31, 2016 Wasting no time, Viru Paaji came up with yet another ambiguous comeback, laced with all the sweetness he could gather:
Cheers! India has a big heart .
    Enjoy ! https://t.co/BEwgLQj3N8
    — Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) December 31, 2016 Well, India does. It forgave Piers Morgan!
Just to refresh your memory, earlier this year, Piers had tweeted this:

Sehwag was not one to take things lying down and got back at Morgan with the most epic reply:
.@piersmorgan India Already Has 9 #Gold Medals, England Has Zero WC.
As Far As Charity Is Concerned, You Already Owe Us Kohinoor. #ENGvPAK
    — Viru Fan Club (@VirenderrSehwag) August 30, 2016 Piers Morgan had a difficult time fielding the trolls after that.

A father is a man that every daughter truly loves because, perhaps, he is the only man who will not hurt her deliberately. But what do you call a father who barters his own daughter for a wife in return? Wazir Ahmed, a Pakistani man gave his 13-year-old daughter Saima’s hand in marriage to Mohammad Ramzan because he wanted to marry his sister in return. Ramzan is deaf and mute, and the match was arranged because his sister, who was in love with Wazir, refused to marry him before her brother was hitched. Saima lied to the authorities during an interrogation and claimed she is 16 to save her father.
    © Twitter
Wazir’s previous wives were not able to bear him a son so he married Ramzan’s sister in the hope of a son. Bartering daughters to resolve disputes is a common practice in Pakistani rural areas and this even has a dedicated term in Urdu. It’s called ‘Watta Satta’, that is, give and take. Many Muslims are of the belief that Islam allows you to marry their daughters at puberty.
    © Twitter
It is a sad tale of orthodox beliefs, selfish interests and sacrificing innocent lives for self pleasures. Since when did a wish for a son become so carnal that you do sacrilegious acts in the name of religion?

No matter how much we praise the ever-developing technology, there are certain things that are either way too ahead of their time or a bit too much to be accepted easily by folks. This unique and unusual gadget, ‘Kissenger’, is a living proof of the same. People who are in a long-distance relationship, you guys will understand how difficult it is to maintain it, thanks to the lack of physical proximity and the constant yearning to embrace your partner.
Well, to curb your miseries, the Researchers from the Imagineering Lab decided to play cupid and created this gadget, Kissenger, the world’s first mobile kiss messenger.
    © Kissenger
So, how does it work? Reportedly, the Kissenger uses pressure sensors and actuators to imitate a real kiss, which is then sent using a messaging app paired to the device. What’s more, this gadget is capable of measuring the pressure on different parts of the sender’s lips and then replicates the exact kiss on the recipient’s device. The lip part of the device is made of silicon. Apparently, the recipient can feel the sender’s kiss when they kiss you back. As of now, the team has created a functioning iOS prototype which plugs into the audio jack of an iPhone, iPod and iPad.
    © Kissenger
Ok, now we don’t know how good or bad the experience will be, but hey, unless we have used it we are nobody to judge its efficiency, right? Although, we can bet that it can’t replace the human charm.

One of the most awaited episodes of the season, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Raput’s ‘Koffee With Karan’ was steamier than we expected. Given the fact that Shahid Kapoor has made several appearances on the show in the past with his then-girlfriends and the fact that it was Mira Rajput’s first Bollywood interview, the two were unbelievably comfortable, wonderfully candid and of course, very much in love! In case you missed it, check out these highlights from the episode!
    © StarWorld
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, the much talked about Bollywood couple completely killed it in their first appearance as a couple. Given his history of failed relationships in Bollywood, it was kinda obvious Karan Johar would bring it up. But it was a delight to see Mira Rajput being totally cool with Karan Johar making a poker face and cracking this joke.
    © StarWorld
Shahid Kapoor revealed that the moment he really fell in love with Mira was after she got pregnant and Mira looked at him all lovestruck.
    © StarWorld
Mira Rajput was all for PDA. Karan Johar even hinted that PDA made him uncomfortable as a single man but Mira and Shahid were unstoppable.
    © StarWorld
Then, Mira Rajput claimed that they know everything about each other but Shahid Kapoor called her out on that bullshit.
    © StarWorld
Mira Rajput gave her two cents (and dollars) on what she thinks of Bollywood and it was hilarious! She rolled her eyes on ‘airport looks’ being a thing, she called Bollywood a ‘zoo’ and judged people for dancing on their own songs at parties.
    © StarWorld
Shahid Kapoor revealed that he could never leave the toilet seat up because that’s how petrified he is of Mira and that she always made him feel uneducated and under-qualified, being a literature student herself.
    © StarWorld
Shahid Kapoor slipped out, in passing, that they sleep naked. Karan Johar being Karan Johar caught on to it and tried embarrassing the couple but Shahid and Mira were obviously too much in love to care.
    © StarWorld
Mira Rajput said Shahid Kapoor looks in the mirror 20,000 times a day and he mocked her styling her hair in return.
    © StarWorld
And of course, the BIG revelation – Shahid Kapoor used to stalk Twinkle Khanna at the swimming pool when she was shooting a film with his mother. He was just 12 and Twinkle was, well, HOT!
    © StarWorld
The BIGGER revelation, however, was of course this gorgeous woman who had everyone impressed with her sass and confidence!

Levitating speakers are the new things that have been invented thanks to advances in technologies. LG is the latest manufacturer to add levitating speakers to the company’s portfolio of products and it plans to showcase it at CES next month.
Many other levitating speakers have looked like flying saucers or a weird UFO and LG’s version of a levitating speaker looks like an Orange press juicer. It has a very fat and chunky base unit that enables the levitating function and the speaker itself has control options.
    © LG
Speakers levitate thanks to the use of electromagnets and have the capability to last up to 10 hours or that’s what LG claims. The base unit functions as a subwoofer and can also be used as a charger for the speaker.
Once the speaker is floating and has used up all of its battery charge, it will automatically descend slowly onto the base unit for charging. The speaker will also play audio while charging but it won’t look as cool.
There is no further information provided by LG on pricing or launch date for the levitating speaker. However, it will be showcased by LG at CES next week.

Even though Microsoft has been keeping silent on their new Surface phone, however, rumours have been keeping us well informed about their upcoming flagship phone. In a latest leak, images of the Microsoft Surface phone have surfaced on Weibo and it reveals key design aspects and camera details.
    © Weibo
These leaked pictures suggest that the device will have a very sleek and slim brick-like design much like any premium smartphone available today. It will have a snow-hued cover on the back and also sport a humongous Carl Zeiss camera with Microsoft engraved near the LED flash.
    © Weibo
The phone will also sport a single speaker on both top and bottom of the phone, and also in the middle for to give it a complete stereo sound. Microsoft has placed their Windows logo on the top with the camera on the left and on the front panel too.
At the bottom of the front screen, it has three capacitive touchscreen buttons i.e. back (left key icon), home (represented by the Windows logo) and recent (represented by the lens icon). On the right side of the phone, it has three keys i.e. Volume buttons, power button and an additional key, which might be dedicated to the camera.
At the top of the phone, it sports a 3.5mm audio jack and at the bottom it has a Type-C USB port, which might suggest fast charging as a new feature on the phone.
    © Weibo
These images look authentic enough to give us a fair idea as to what to expect from the new Microsoft Surface phone. However, since the information provided cannot be vouched for as the device in these pictures might be a prototype.
Satya Nadella also suggested in November 2016 that Microsoft will not be rushing things to launch a phone with top specs and wants to instead spend time in developing a phone that would blow people’s minds.
Microsoft is expected to announce the new Surface phone by the second half of 2017, if not in the first quarter of 2018.

I was a fat boy. That was my reality when I started and realized that things needed to be changed. There was a time when junk food was the source of my happiness. Of course, that pathetic lifestyle turned me into an overweight guy sitting at 92.6 kg body weight, 30% body fat at just 5.6 feet high. All this was while I was still into bodybuilding but looked like shit because my nutrition sucked. I was teased by friends and family alike. Well, that happens, when you say I love bodybuilding but you actually look like a snowman. I Was Criticized. It Fueled Me To Change My Lifestyle

Criticism is important. It can either make you or break you. Being an optimistic person, I took those consecutive sarcastic comments as motivating factors and decided to transform. As I said, I used to love bodybuilding and yes, I used to work out but it was time to look at my nutrition.
    I Cleaned Out My Diet
I started making small changes in my diet. Completely gave up on junk, switched from simple carbohydrates to complex carbohydrates and the training sessions became more intense. That time, the internet was my only coach (I used to follow Kris Gethin’s DTP and later Arnold Schwarzenegger’s blueprint to cut program). Apart from weight training, I had also incorporated swimming for a couple of months, and eventually my body started showing results. However I wanted to have a chiseled physique. Like every other guy, I wanted to see my abs. To be honest, I even thought that it was not naturally possible. Being a PR professional at that time, I was well networked with the best fitness coaches and top athletes. Then I connected with Mr. Aminder Singh, who is amongst the top notch fitness coaches of India. I also got in touch with India’s best men’s physique athlete Junaid Kaliwala. Slowly and steadily, I started discussing about my transformation with Mr. Aminder Singh, and when he witnessed my passion towards the same, he decided give my transformation a serious path.
Almost Thought About Taking Steroids But I Believed In My Hard Work  Your coach matters and trust me, I would like to confess that there was a time, when in order to chase the chiseled physique, I almost made my mind to take steroids. However, thank god, I got connected me with Aminder and Junaid Kaliwala who made me believe that naturally one can definitely attain a decent physique and therefore, I gave up on that evil thought.
This Is What I Am Today
It’s been almost a year and now I am at 69kg bodyweight, with almost 11% body fat. How I made it? Well, being persistent and disciplined and applying scientific approach for fat loss.  Intense weight training, low carb diet, which later turned into the ketogenic diet helped to get shredded and finally I could see my abs, NATURALLY. My passion for fitness took a new turn when I decided to make it my profession, in order to help more people transforming naturally. Today, I am also an advanced certified fitness coach and sports nutritionist. With my transformation, I would like to conclude that you can have a phenomenal physique naturally, all you need is dedication and a right coach who could guide you to achieve your goals in a healthier and safer manner.

  15. ADMIN
Over the past two three weeks, my Facebook and Twitter wall has been filled with posts about the New Year.
“So glad this shitty year is coming to an end… Can’t wait for the New Year… What if 2017 is just as crappy as 2016…”
    It goes on.
And I’m just sitting there wondering how many of these buffoons (no offence, but you really are) blamed their sadly handled lives, mistakes and bad decisions on a mere number that marks a mere day. It’s not surprising, though, given that so many of us are living in a world where we don’t want to take ownership of any of the crap happening in our lives. Here’s the thing: There are 365—and sometimes, 366—days in a year. You mean to say that every single day of that year has been bad to you? If your answer to the above question is ‘Yes’, then, here’ s something you should be reminded of…
…That the Earth is nothing but a pale blue dot in some corner of the Universe.
    © Unsplash
Here’s something Carl Sagan, author of Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of The Human Future in Space, once said, that I’d like to remind you of right now.
“Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

    Consider the following sentences.
“I stubbed my toe… it must be a bad moment”
“I crashed my car… it must be a bad day”
    “I’m already broke… it’s such a bad month”
    “I got fired… it’s all bad timing.”
“My close one is seriously ill… it’s just a bad year”
Now, here are a bunch of questions I have for all of you blaming a moment, a day, a month and a year for all the bad happening to you right now.
How do you let a moment define you when it’s the other way around?
How do you let a ‘bad day’ affect you when you’re the one who’s supposed to ‘Carpe that fucking diem’?
How do you blame the bloody month when you can’t manage your finances better?
How do you blame timing when you could just work harder at your job?
And how do you blame a year for someone’s ill health or worse, demise?
How does it all work because either I fail to see the science behind it all, or you’ve lost the plot?
Do you wake up every morning and sit in bed waiting for everything to come and happen to you? Do you not lift a finger because magically, whatever the task at hand is, will be completed by itself? Or will your “timing” come and do it for you? Because that really is the only way that you justify “timing” fucking your shit up.
    © Unsplash
Here’s some grown up piece advice for you:
Get your shit together and learn to man up. You make a mistake, say sorry, mean it and then do all you can in your control to rectify the mistake. You stub your toe, you apply a band aid and look before you walk next time. You crash your car, get it fixed right there and learn to drive carefully and mind the traffic. You lose your job, get working on the next one and how to keep it this time.
We learn from our past mistakes. We learn so that we may not repeat them again. Life is full of chances; it’s up to you to go out there and seize it when you get one; instead of waiting for the chance to come and happen to you, so that, when it doesn’t, you can just blame it all on a made up notion because you can’t accept your own fault. Life is like this one straight line that happens to us with various branches that either lead to different areas or bring you back to the line at some point. It keeps coming back to you so that you do it over and you do it right. Don’t blame time for a ****-up you made. Don’t blame the year for the bad decisions you made.
So maybe you should start by aiming to actually get your act together and become a more responsible human being who knows how to accept his/her mistakes and rectify them; without having to blame it on a “bad fucking year”. Don’t act like a kid when you aren’t one; or at least you’re trying so hard not to be one next year.
    Happy 2017!

We, the millennial tribe of today, are social animals who thrive on the thrill of fitting nightlife in our weekly calendar and feed on the zest, excitement and fervour that comes with meeting friends at a bar, strangers on the dance floor and smiling faces across the room. While the drinks keep flowing, and chatter fills the air, the imperative thing that instantly happens is ‘selfies’! How do you justify a crazy night out without sharing your cool pictures on Instagram , Facebook and Snapchat? We caught hold of Rishabh in Mumbai, and Ajay in Delhi, and asked them to explore the nightlife in both the cities, and capture all the madness in their selfies. The results were simply a visual treat.
    Rishabh at Global Fusion
Ajay having a good time @ Nehru Place
The main problem arises when you are partying at a place where the lighting is low and the front camera cannot capture a shot, even when you turn on the flash. However these pictures came out pretty neat courtesy the new Oppo F1s whose 16MP camera which makes it easy for you to click selfies even in dim light.

The selfie panorama ensures that the whole gang fits in. The more the merrier! But here Ajay is enjoying the selfie camera alone, in all its glory.

Rishabh loved the selfie camera and had a great time touring Mumbai with his Oppo F1s. The fact that it is light weight is a major plus point, and it fits easily in the palm, so you don’t have to fiddle with it and get annoyed.
    Rishabh at Social Khar
    Rishabh at Pali village café
Ajay was all praises for the front camera as well. He was party hopping all night and his selfies turned out clear and well lit even in dim lit places. Brownie points for this alone.

So, the next time you are out celebrating the weekend, your birthday or your life, you know you can have all the fun while the Oppos F1s will take care of capturing well-lit and amazing pictures.

As the year comes to an end, and we prepare to start the New Year with new hopes, plans and resolutions, let’s take a moment to pause and think what do we want to change, what did we do wrong, what mistakes we made and what can we do next year differently.
Did I work hard enough? Did I love with an open heart? Did I travel to my heart’s content? Did I laugh whole-heartedly? Did I dream enough to last me a lifetime? Did I take every opportunity that came my way? What regrets do I carry from this year? What regrets will I carry forward to the next year and the next till I have stopped caring about it, or till I breathe my last?
    © Thinkstock/Getty Images
Every year, it’s the same story. Every year we get taken in by the collective rhetoric of ringing in the new year – we drink to the new year, party away drowning the mistakes of the past in drunken glory, we make new resolutions, new promises to ourselves, some old ones carried from the years before.
But do we really think about what goes on in our lives each year, as we merrily welcome the New Year? Do we really pause and think about what could have been done differently? Why we couldn’t stick to that diet plan, why we couldn’t make time to travel? Maybe we aimed too high, maybe we aimed too low. Maybe we were too harsh on ourselves. Perhaps we didn’t factor in the time to relax.
    © Pexels
Some of you must have been tired of resolutions, deciding to throw them out the window this year for good. Some of you must have already made a list of new resolutions, painfully listing out what to achieve the next year. But amidst all the lists and non-lists, let’s sit down to ponder how we fared this year. And maybe in those questions about the year gone by, you’d find answers for the year that is to come.
    © Thinkstock/Getty Images
If your plan was do something brilliant at work and it didn’t happen, why was it so? Were you too bogged down by the pressure? Did you get demotivated by something your boss casually said at the meeting?  Were you too engrossed getting back at that colleague for that catty jibe they took at you in the party? Was it just mental inertia? What distracted you? And if it was nothing that could have distracted you from achieving your goal, why did you still not achieve it? Maybe then, deep down inside, it’s not really what you wanted. It’s not what you craved for like your life depended on it.
    © Pexels
If you longed for love this year, and unfortunately you are still single, there could be a hundred reasons for it. Let’s not just wish for something good next year; rather find out why it didn’t happen this year and then make it happen! Nothing’s gonna happen without finding out why. Find out why and work on that. Facing the truth might hurt but it’s always better to find out than nurse false hopes.
We listen to one inspiring fitness song and we decide we are gonna nail the workout this year, and it never happens. Don’t fret that it didn’t. Fret that you didn’t keep it real. Not everybody can be a muscular dude with 6-pack abs; why beat yourself down over it? So maybe this year, just aim at being fit and allow yourself cheat days of pure indulgence.
    © Unsplash
In the race to complete half our resolutions, we compromise on the other half of our resolutions. Sometimes, your professional ambitions prevent you from taking that open-ended trip to nowhere, sometimes your travel plans mess up with work. We can’t have everything always. One needs to prioritise. We need to question ourselves – what is important to us. What is that thing we desire most in life, what is it without which life will look meaningless. And with that picture clear in our head, perhaps then our resolutions will work. Maybe then we won’t leave things half done. We’ll probably have fewer resolutions, fewer things on our to-do lists, but by god, they will be done.
Let’s do this as an exercise this year. We anyway end up breaking resolutions. Let’s try and go reverse this year. Make a list of all those resolutions you made last year and write down all the reasons why they didn’t happen.

The fine art of cinematography is one of lifes' simplest pleasures. Just sitting back with your loved ones and grabbing a bowl of hot popcorn and watching your favourite film is the perfect evening for many of us. So, since the year is coming to an end, and we’re all enjoying the comfort of a warm blanket in a chilly haze, here’s a list of the top 10 movies of 2016! Even if you’ve already seen them, these beauties are definitely worth devouring one more time.
    1. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them: J.K Rowling makes a come back with this splendid little flick about the most weird and quirky creatures that walk this planet. Set in olden day New York, it is the same magical and mystical world as Harry Potter. This movie is the perfect treat for your eyes as well as your soul, definitely a good watch to entertain that child that lives inside of you.
    © Twitter
    2. The Nice Guys: This movie is hilarious in a way that not many murder mysteries can be. Ryan Gosling plays the role of an extremely mediocre detective that literally falls into his clues in his drunken haze. There is definitely a dark undertone to this movie as well, and the chemistry between the actors is one to be witnessed!
    © Twitter
    3. Zootopia: In this life things get so wild that we sometimes feel like we are living in a zoo. This movie depicted that in a hilarious and thoughtful way, bringing to light the issues we face in modern society such as trying to find a place where we fit in although most of us feel completely different from the other. The animation quality of this film is absolutely pristine, making it a joy to watch even with the little ones.
    © Twitter
    4. Finding Dory: Finding Dory is an extension of the funny, poignant and thought provoking feeling that radiated out of Finding Nemo. This journey of tiny little fish in the big vast ocean warms your heart and teaches you a little something about what it means to be a family. Definitely dive back into this one and enjoy the wonders of the extraordinary underwater world.
    © Twitter
    5. The Jungle Book: I’m sure we all remember what it feels like to watch the hilarious adventures of Mowgli and Baloo when we were little. This re-imagination of the classic collection is a visually stunning masterpiece that will have you engrossed in the story of a little wild boy who meets the most curious and quite literally hypnotising of characters in the jungle he calls home. Enjoy the nostalgia that hits you when you watch this one.
    © Twitter
    6. La La Land: In a world where people are told what to do and exactly how to do it, there is little room left for pursuing your dreams and actually achieving them. This movie follows Mia and Sebastian, played by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, as they struggle to survive and fulfil their dreams in a city that is known to crush them. If you don’t watch this movie for the heart, watch it for the powerful performances and sheer chemistry between the two leads. A great flick to watch with your own lady love!
    © Twitter
    7. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story:  If you thought the sequencing of the Star Wars series couldn’t get anymore confusing, you were wrong. This standalone film is an all new epic adventure that is set in the very beginning. It follows the mission of a group of unlikely heroes as they work together to steal the plans of the death star, proving to the audience that even ordinary can be extraordinary if they believe in themselves.
    © Twitter
    8. Star Trek Beyond: Just like the rest of them, the new Star Trek movie is absolutely ecstatic when it comes to the visual orchestration and story. A thrilling 120 minutes of our favourite Captain Kirk and his crew trying to  save their precious Enterprise from the gripping hands of an alien warrior race. A must watch for all those space geeks out there!
    © Twitter
    9. The Legend Of Tarzan: 2016 has been notorious for the revival of classical tales in a modern fashion. Tarzan has been a childhood companion for many of us, and now that we’re all grown up, he is back with a bang! In this plot line, he has left the jungles of Africa and moved to civilisation with his wife Jane. Now he’s invited back to serve as a trade emissary of parliament in Congo. What comes after is a literal unleashing of his ‘wild’ side once again.
    © Twitter
    10. Ghostbusters:  Who you gonna call? The Ghostbusters of course! This remake of the classic is perfect to watch when you’re feeling a little low. The female antagonist definitely give the story a whole new feel to it, also, with the beauties of modern CGI graphics, the monsters have a completely new dimension to them compared to the last one. A fun and lighthearted movie to watch with your family or friends!

    2. Keep Yourself Hydrated © Thinkstock
