    Salman Khan fans, it’s time for celebration. Bhai aka Sultan aka Prem is now officially the biggest Bollywood celebrity.

    Okay then, looks like it’s finally time to end the SRK-Salman war.

    Forbes just released its fifth India Celebrity 100 list and Salman Khan has beaten everyone else to climb up to the number 1 spot. The list takes into account the actors’ revenue earned from entertainment and their popularity amongst the fans. 1 October 2015 to 30 September 2016 was the time period in consideration.

    Earning a whopping Rs. 270.33 crore, Salman Khan beat SRK (who stands at Rs. 221.75 crores) to the number 1 spot. SRK ranked second. Virat Kohli (Rs. 203.03 crores) secured the 3rd position and here’s the rest of the top 10 celebrities on the list!

    When 2016 dawned upon us, one thing that stirred every fan in the country was the announcement by Salman and Aamir that they both were releasing a movie based on wrestling. The preconceived notions started flowing, people took sides and all that happened. Then ‘Sultan’ released and of course, people went crazy.

    Now the onus was on Aamir Khan for his ‘Dangal’. The movie released finally and is being touted as a blockbuster already.

    Everyone knows that there is much love between the two Khans and they always stand up for each other. Salman, being the candid man that he is, tweeted a heart warming note for Aamir.

    Salman is a true gentleman, and the lovable ‘Bhai’ of Bollywood. He said that ‘Dangal’ is better than his ‘Sultan’ and it takes a big heart to say something like that.

    The mastermind behind such brutally honest and soul crushing tunes like ‘Eye To Eye’ and ‘Angel’, Taher Shah is a musical entity like no other. Even the great Yanni bends a knee at the altar of the Taher! His mercurial single, ‘Eye To Eye’ made him an overnight sensation (don’t ask us why) with actors like Ranveer Singh and even Varun Dhawan copying his iconic style.

    However, the Pakistani singer has apparently left the country after receiving death threats. According to his agent, he has been receiving these threats for a while now. He issued a statement, “Pakistan’s famous singer Taher Shah, who is known for spreading love through his music, had been receiving life threats for quite some time.” Seems like this isn’t a prank because it was confirmed by his manager. “Even I don’t know where he has gone to but he has left Pakistan for sure,” he said.

    So why did this once-in-a-lifetime singer receive death threats? Well, he recently made his film debut with Pakistan’s first online movie, which didn’t go down too well with the audience. The statement further included that Shah was heartbroken when the government failed to provide security for him and so he decided to leave Pakistan. Looks like he will have to find a new ‘haven’ to spread his angelic messages, but this time it will be heart to heart.

    I’ll say this. I have been waiting since FOREVER for this to happen—Eric Prydz performing on Indian territory. Just a few months ago, I was discussing how it would be an EDM dream come true. Well, looks like God (or was it Santa?) heard me!
    The international dance music sensation who has been dishing out the best in the charts for over a decade now is finally set to perform as the headlining act for VH1 Supersonic that’s happening in February 2017, in Pune.

    For those of you who had been looking for a legit reason to splurge and travel to the music festival next year, it doesn’t get any better than this. Prydz has been the first headliner to have been announced as part of the festival and while we can’t wait for the remaining artists to be announced, I don’t see how it could top this one. Speaking about the artist’s association with Supersonic, festival curator, Nikhil Chinapa said, “Eric's been an artist we've been trying to bring to India forever.     "It ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and still keep moving forward." It seems that the famous Rocky Balboa quote was probably written for former American gymnast and upcoming singer, McKayla Maroney.
    The 21-year-old, who entered gymnastics at the age of 2, rose to fame in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Maroney was part of the 'Fierce Five' US women's gymnastics team that bagged the gold medal. Apart from contributing to the team, she came really close to winning an individual gold for herself before eventually settling for silver.

    Despite aggravating a previous bone break in the big toe of her right foot, Maroney still competed on vault and scored an execution average of 9.733 - the highest execution score at Olympics or World Championship under the new scoring system for women's gymnastics.
    However, in the individual vault final, Maroney settled for silver after falling on the ground on her second attempt. Her disappointment was photographed on the podium while she had her lips pursed to the side. The image became an internet phenomenon that was sparked by a Tumblr blog called 'McKayla is not impressed".

    Her accomplishments at the coveted Olympics were overshadowed by the infamous image and soon she became the butt of jokes on social media. If that wasn't enough, Maroney fractured the tibia in her left leg during an uneven bars dismount at the Kelloggs's Tour of Gymnastics Champions in September, 2012.
    After two screws were inserted to repair her fractured left tibia, Maroney made a sensational return to gymnastics by defending her world title at the 2013 World Championships where she bagged a gold medal. In the process, she became the first American female gymnast to successfully defend a World Championships vault title.

    Maroney was hoping to upgrade both her vaults by the 2016 Rio Olympics, but her knee surgery in 2014 and health concerns over the next two years forced her to retire from competitive gymnastics. Her dreams came crashing down and she struggled to cope up with life away from gymnastics.
    “I lost myself. It was an identity crisis, no doubt. I would go and meet people and they’d tell me, ‘You’re the gymnast.' And I’m like, now that I’m no longer a competing gymnast, it throws people off and that would throw me off.
    Someone in the comments said I look like I can't decide if I'm going to New York or Mexico...... and that's exactly why this outfit is me ?

    During the Rio Games, Maroney was restricted to a television set watching her former teammates Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas compete for back-to-back gold medals. “I didn’t know how I was going to be able to handle [watching the Rio Olympics], because being an athlete and being in that world, it’s almost like you’re like, ‘Oh man, I wish that I would’ve been able to be there," she revealed.

    But, the young American didn't give up; rather she began focussing on other aspects of her life. Maroney appeared on Good Morning America to share her insight on the gymnastics coverage at the Rio Olympics.  
    She also began experimenting with makeup and style which led to her fans suspecting the former gymnast of going under the knife. But, she remained unfazed and said: "The only way to deal with negative Instagram comments is simply to not read them and to stay confident, but it can be tough even for a gold medallist.

    High on confidence, Maroney also entered the music industry and released her debut single "Ghost" on 8 September this year. "I like to say my genre is vulnerable pop because it's all melody and lyrically driven and heart driven," she said.

    Since we were kids, we were taught that one shouldn’t judge others but when we hear stories like these we can’t help but say that ‘what goes around comes around’ and that karma is a real bitch. Well, 43-year-old Sandrine Devillard is definitely going to be cursing her life right now as she watched her late husband’s fortune slip out of her hands. Sandrine, a business woman and pop singer was tagged as a gold digger when she married 68-year-old Marchel Amphoux. It was said that she married Amphoux (who was 21 years senior to her) for his property that was worth millions.

    Hold on to your seats guys as things turned interesting from here and the whole incident looks like it was picked up straight from a thrilling Mahesh Bhatt movie. Amphoux was said to own a lot of property but lived his life as a hermit and was dwelling in a shack. Sandrine is a pop singer who also owns four businesses with an estate agency being one of them. She wanted to buy his five Alpine shepherds’ huts, located near the ski resort of Serra-Chevalier, which was apparently worth millions. Well, the so called ‘mountain man’ refused to sell the property, so she asked him out instead. Wow! Who does that? Anyway, they both started dating and got married in 2011 but Sandrine didn’t live in the Alpine hut, she returned to Paris like the socialite that she is.

    Amphoux lived an eccentric or rather old-fashioned life while Sandrine was kind of a glam girl. Guess, opposites do attract after all! But, his friends were not at all happy with his choice and were actually convinced that she was after him for his property and money. Looking at their different lifestyles, it was easy for anyone to have such thoughts. Guess what; to stop the rumours from spreading, she even released a single - "L'appel du soleil", to show how much she loves him. Can you feel her love already?
    However, things turned awry when Amphoux mysteriously died in a car crash in 2012 and Sandrine announced herself as the sole heir to her husband’s property. Right when she thought she hit the jackpot, something very unusual happened. The ‘inconsolable’ widow was denied the property worth millions, when the real will of Amphoux surfaced. This soon turned into an epic courtroom drama, where she ended up losing the legal battle. It turned out that just weeks before he died, he wrote a will (a scribbled one) on the back of an envelope wherein the huts would go to his tenants and the rest of his estate to a female cousin. Amphoux left nothing for the gold digger. Thank god, her single did comparatively well; else she would have been left completely embarrassed.

    Although she claimed that the handwriting wasn’t his, the signatures matched, proving that he wrote the will. Angry at losing everything, she claimed in the court that she was “the victim of abuse of trust, forgery and attempted extortion.” Huh, who are you trying to fool woman? You lost the game, don’t even try now. We were trying to find one moment where we could sympathise with her but it’s just not happening. Guess Kanye was right, “Now I ain’t saying she a gold digger, but she ain’t messing with no broke niggas”. We bet this lesson must have hit her really hard.

    There was a huge queue outside an ATM at Cyberhub, Gurugram on Wednesday, 21st December 2016.There must be cash in the machine that would be the general assumption; what with Modi’s demonetization and the lack of cash in the economy—even the slightest hint of cash anywhere draws crowds. It’s like finding water in a desert… only worse, actually. I’d take my chances in the desert at the current rate.
    But, wait. It wasn’t an ATM per se! Well, the machine was the same; just that it didn’t belong to a bank… It belonged to KFC! Yes, the fast-food chain that serves up some of that amazing chicken that Colonel Sanders invented years ago.

    KFC set up an ATM that doled out Nashville currency which let the users redeem a free serving of the brand’s recently launched Nashville Chicken—a legendary offering abroad that is finally available at Indian KFC outlets, as well.
    Each user had to answer a set of questions—right or wrong didn’t matter because they all won Nashville dollars which entitled them to the chicken.
    It was definitely an excellent marketing strategy by the brand since people queued up either which ways—if they found out it wasn’t a proper money-dispensing ATM, they still got free chicken. A total win-win on both sides!

    While Dangal is cooking up a storm and has already been declared a hit, the ‘Phogat’ girls in the movie are catching everyone’s eyes right now. Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, the beautiful young actresses from ‘Dangal’, have already left the audience awestruck with their punk and power-packed performance. We had a look at their Instagram accounts and what we found out proves that their on-screen vivaciousness is synonymous with their off-screen fun-filled personalities.

    There are certain muscle groups that are more prone to injuries then the others. Even small injuries in these muscle groups can lead to extended and unwanted bed time. Without any discrimination and not in any particular order, these parts are your shoulder joints, lower back and the knee joints. In this article, we will talk in particular about the shoulder joint. We’ll tell you what to avoid and how to rehabilitate the already aching shoulder.
    1. Avoiding Pulling Exercises Will Wreck Your Shoulder Health © Youtube
    Most guys do way more push type exercises than the pull type. The bench press has so many variations to hit the chest from all angles, both with dumbbells and barbells. Same goes for shoulder pressing, since it’s a push movement. But do we really do as many variations or do as much volume when it comes to rows or any other pulling movement, for that matter? Well, nope. This creates imbalance as the chest gets stronger and stiffer than your back and, over time, your shoulder slumps forward and arms turn inward. This posture wrecks your shoulders!
    TIP:- Do at least the same number of sets in form of various rows (pulling) as you do in Presses (push).

    For the development of pecs, shoulders and triceps, dudes get hooked to barbell presses so much so that they forget that other moves can hit the same muscle group too. Yes, I am talking about the classic push up. If they feel easy, do weighted pushups instead. Closed chain exercises like push-ups are good in terms of shoulder health since they don’t lock your shoulder blades like barbell presses do.
    3. Switch To Dumbbells For A Change © Youtube
    When using barbells, your hands can’t rotate and as a result it can force your shoulders into unnatural positions. This can aggravate your already existing shoulder issues (doesn’t mean barbells are bad). Dumbells give you better control over the movement of the weight and better stability to the shoulder joint as well.

    5. Avoid Behind Back Presses/Pulldowns © Youtube
    Don’t be too shocked here. These exercises can be fine for people who have great shoulder health already. If you have existing shoulder issues, you have got to avoid them.
    The position of the barbell behind neck press places your shoulders in extreme external rotation and abduction. Pressing weight in this position puts a lot of stress on the shoulder joints and ligaments. To avoid hitting the back of your head with the barbell, the behind the neck press forces your neck in an unnatural forward position, which increases your risk of neck injury.
    Same is the Case with behind back pulldowns. So you can simply replace these exercises with front/military press and pulldowns from the front.
    6. Avoid Guillotine Press This is a style of bench press when you flare your elbows way out in the direction away from your body and lower the bar more towards the upper part of your chest. Unfortunately, most guys at the gym bench press this way only and it is disastrous for shoulders. Simple safe effective way is to tuck your elbows towards your sides as opposed to out and flaring at 90 degree.

The RBI announced that deposits for Rs. 5000 will be allowed more than once, but the depositor’s bank account needs to be compliant with the KYC. People with non-compliant accounts will have to get KYC done before depositing old notes.

    Apple is thinking of including dual-sim capabilities on the iPhone, which is due to release later in 2017. Apple is currently working hard to deliver a brand the iPhone as it marks their 10th anniversary since Steve Jobs launched the original iPhone. 
    Apple is seriously considering revolutionising the iPhone and the idea to include a Dual-Sim tray seems to be one of them. This was later confirmed as the company filed patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). They have also filed for similar patents in China, which reaffirms their commitment. 
    The patent was filed by Li Su, who happens to be the head-of-chief architect for cellular software at Apple. He is named as the inventor in the patent and the dual-SIM feature will allow the iPhone to store two SIM cards that can work simultaneously.

    The reason why Apple is looking to adding new features is because Apple has noticed the sudden drop in iPhone sales and in order to boost profits they need something exciting for the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. India is one of the fastest and biggest growing smartphone markets in the word and Apple only has 2 percent of the market share. India is one of those countries which enjoy Dual-SIM capabilities on a phone, and Apple seems to be taking that option very seriously.

    2016 wasn't exactly spectacular for Hindi cinema.
    Getting off to a decent start with 'Airlift', 'Neerja' and 'Kapoor & Sons', Bollywood hit some sort of a bump mid-year, with a marked decline in quality (making it difficult to draw up a decent Best of The Year list - or easier, depending on how you see it).
    Yet, some trends emerged. 'Airlift', 'Neerja'and 'MS Dhoni - An Untold Story' reinforced the fact that there was an audience for real-life stories. 'Sultan', this year's only bonafide blockbuster so far, was a thorough mainstream fare under the garb of "sports film", capturing the highs and lows essential to the genre. 'Pink' encouraged a discourse on "feminism" to successful effect.
    'Dangal' blends all these elements, as if it's only purpose was to serve as a reminder for all the things we loved at the movies this year. Based on real-life incidents. Check. Sports drama. Check. Comment on female empowerment. Double Check. Throw in a dose of patriotism (not "nationalism", thankfully), and you get a rousing, emotionally-rich entertainer.

    There's a scene in the film, where Mahavir Singh Phogat (Aamir Khan) holds up a sketch of a wrestling mat for his daughters Geeta and Babita - teenagers on the cusp of a wrestling career. The girls have honed their skills in a makeshift akhada till this point, and Father Phogat hasn't managed to raise the necessary finance for a wrestling mat. Mattresses have, hence, been strung together on the terrace of the Phogat residence in Balali village, and only a visual form of the mat presented to the girls. As Geeta looks at the picture, her eyes light up and a look of amazement comes over her face. This is her destiny; just a glimpse is all it takes for her world to come alive.

    It's an important moment, also, because it's the first time I found Geeta truly excited about the sport; the first time in the film where the concept of "choice" for the film's female protagonist became tangible. Till that point, only the aspirations of the girl's father - a national-level wrestler whose dream it was to win a medal for his country - held centerstage. He could never fulfil his dream, and hence waited patiently for a male offspring to live out his ambition.
    Nitesh Tiwari, who co-directed 'Chillar Party' and directed 'Bhoothnath Returns', seems to be cut from the same cloth as two-time Khan collaborator Rajkumar Hirani. He, too, uses humour as a crutch to talk about serious issues, like the skewed *** ratio in Haryana (where the film is set). It's what keeps the narrative hurtling along, as the screenplay moves from one set-piece to the other. In the film's pre-interval portion, especially, Tiwari and co-writers Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain and Nikhil Mehrotra dabble only in high points culled from the Phogat sisters' formative years, hardly pausing for breath. The use of music (Pritam) in these portions is exemplary, with songs like Haanikaarak Bapu and Dhaakad blending fabulous lyrics with charming picturisation. Each song tells a story.
    The meat of 'Dangal', however, lies in the grown-up phase of the Phogat sisters' lives, where they prepare for ultimate glory - the national championship at first, and then representing India at the international stage. Moving away from home turf - and the watchful eyes of her relentless father - to the National Institute of Sports in Patiala, Geeta develops a liking for things she's been kept away from till that point. She grows her hair like her counterparts, puts on make-up at will, and indulges in cheat meals. It leads to her getting on a collision course with her father, and a slump in form and performance.

    Some of these portions are problematic. A woman's excellence in sport being tied with her ability to deprive herself of feminine needs - applying nail polish, for example - seems bizarre. There's also the track of the national wrestling coach, played by Girish Kulkarni, who wants to stake claim to Geeta's victories while shutting out any interference from her father. This character is 'Dangal''s weakest link - one-dimensionally "villainish", he stick out like a sore thumb in a largely realistic film.
    Then there's the final pep-talk delivered by Father Phogat before the climactic bout, stressing on the need to emerge victorious "so other Indian girls could dare to dream too". While well-intentioned, it strikes a false note for a character whose goals are extremely personal. The crowd-pleasing moment is a bit of a cop-out for both Tiwari as director and Aamir Khan, whose character otherwise (bravely) comes across as unabashedly self-serving.
    Khan, though, invests in the role like he's famously known to, not only transforming himself physically for the part, but capturing the character's highs and lows with flourish. It's a truly great performance, and while he plays 'Dangal''s protagonist, he's remarkably not the film's hero.

    It's the girls whose story this really is, and their journey is what keeps you invested. Much like 'Chak De India''s ensemble of female actors, the girls of 'Dangal' are a real find. Not just Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra - who play the adult Geeta and Babita respectively - but even Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar are excellent as the young Phogat sisters. Sakshi Tanwar, playing their mother, and Aparshakti Khurana and Ritwik Sahore as the girls' cousin are all inspired casting choices (Mukesh Chhabra).
    'Dangal' has moments of greatness and the aura of a classic, even though its lofty ambitions aren't always matched with the consistency demanded from a true epic. Yet, there's enough craftiness packed in its 160-minute runtime to win you over. The wrestling matches are beautifully choreographed and shot (Sethu Sriram). Props to Tiwari for his restrained use of commentary and background music in the film's nail-biting moments.
    The film, in a way, can also be seen as a vicarious interpretation of the Anushka Sharma track in 'Sultan'. What was Aarfa's story? What could she have achieved if she hadn't given up the sport for motherhood and domesticity? 'Dangal' does more for wrestling than the Ali Abbas Zafar hit by ensuring the sport isn't presented merely as combat, but as an athletic contest where technique and ability matter as much as strength, even using a cricket analogy to achieve that at one point.
    In cricketing terms, 'Dangal' is akin to a last ball six in a low-scoring year at the movies. And sometimes, a good ending makes everything seem alright.

As per the new regulations which are coming soon, the visa on arrival situation will discontinue. "The Pre-arrival Registration for Indian Nationals will be implemented on January 23, 2017. The online service for 'Pre-arrival Registration for Indian Nationals' is now opened," the Hong Kong immigration department stated on the official website.

    Also, the website states that "Indian nationals must apply for and successfully complete pre-arrival registration online before they can visit or transit the HKSAR visa-free (if seeking to enter the HKSAR during transit). Pre-arrival registration is not required for Indian nationals in direct transit by air and not leaving the airport transit area.” The speculation is rife that this is due to immense pressure from China. Many Indians travel to Hong Kong not just for vacation, but also for trade. The major concern that the authorities have is that Indian asylum seekers in Hong Kong are on the rise.

    Let’s hope there is some relief in the future and important policies don’t shape up this way. However, for now, if you were planning a quick trip or your bachelor party over there, then too bad, my friend. It looks like it is time to reconsider your options, huh?
