Scandals and headlines go hand in hand when it comes to the politics of any country but some pieces of news hit differently. Here are 5 political scandals that got messy in public and got everyone talking in the country:

1. AAP minister Sandeep Kumar’s scandal

Back in 2016, member of the Legislative Assembly  and AAP minister Sandeep Kumar was sacked from his position of Women & Child development minister after his name came up in a *** scandal and a CD of him indulging in questionable acts was delivered to Arvind Kejriwal.

2. Karnataka Minister H Y Meti

The former Karnataka excise minister had to quit from his post after his name was involved in a *** scandal and was caught in the act which was recorded and circulated.

3. MP politicians’ *** scandal

Back in 2019, a *** racket  involving a number of ministers and bureaucrats was busted in Madhya Pradesh. A three-member SIT probe panel was set up by minister Kamal Nath and later the case was tagged as ‘honey trapping’.

4. Governor V Shanmuganathan’s scandal

Back in 2017, the Meghalaya minister had to resign following accusations that he had converted and compromised the dignity of Raj Bhavan by making it a ‘ladies club’.  A full petition was filed against him and was signed by over 1000 staff members.

5. Brajesh Thakur scandal

This case was the talk of all headlines last year in February when he was sentenced to life imprisonment for sexually assaulting several girls at a home shelter in Muzaffarnagar.
