Temple Priests Playing 'Saami Saami' Song For Ritual Proves 'Pushpa' Craze Isn't Dying Anytime Soon


Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's pan-India release Pushpa, directed by Sukumar, has turned out to be the biggest box office success of 2021. Beating the likes of Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi and Hollywood biggie Spider-Man: No Way Home, Pushpa has been creating history ever since its release and is set to cross the Rs 270 crore mark. The craze for Allu-Rashmika's film, which was released on December 17, is refusing to slow down any time soon.

Not just in the South market, Pushpa: The Rise has turned out to be a super hit in the Hindi belts as well where it is set to cross the Rs 75 crore mark. Well, the film's craze has reached new heights as a video is currently doing the rounds on the internet in which temple priests are seen playing the Saami Saami song while reportedly performing a ritual.

As mentioned in the post, the incident is of one of the temples in Kerala. Watch the video below:

After the humongous success of Pushpa part 1, the makers are all set to start work on Pushpa 2 which is said to be the conclusion of the franchise. In a recent interview, director Sukumar revealed that the makers are planning to release the second installment on December 17, this year.Β 

The film has turned out to be a hit on IMDb as well by defeating Prabhas' magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning. Pushpa is rated 8.1 while the first part of Baahubali is rated at 8.0 out of 10.Β 

For the unversed, not Allu Arjun but Mahesh Babu was the original choice to play the lead in Sukumar's directorial venture. Reportedly, the team was in talks with the actor who, at last, declined the offer due to creative differences. However, the makers finally signed the Dangerous Khiladi star who is getting appreciation for his performance in the film.Β
