Pushpa actress Rashmika Mandanna is currently riding high on the success of her role as Srivalli and with her Bollywood debut coming up soon, the ‘national crush of India’ is all set to rule the roost. Before she found crazy success with Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam, Rashmika dealt with her fair share of personal lows. Her old fans are aware that she was engaged to Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty and the two love birds were even engaged for a while.

The former couple met on the sets of Kirik Party in 2016 and their fans were pleasantly left surprised and shocked when the actress called off their engagement abruptly.

As per reports, she was getting some good offers in Tollywood and she wanted to concentrate on her career ardently. “Rashmika made the decision after consulting with her parents, family elders and friends. It was a tough decision to make, but she is showing a lot of character in overcoming this personal and emotional setback. She has been receiving some exciting offers in Telugu and Kannada, and she wants to cement her place in both the industries," a source claimed.

Kirik Party was her debut movie and was written by Rakshit only. The two never made any official statements around this incident. However, Rashmika will soon be seen in her Bollywood debut with Sidharth Malhotra.
