After ‘Pushpa’ Success, Rashmika To Team Up With This 'RRR' Star For A Sci-Fi Drama?


Rashmika Mandanna is currently on a career-high with the record-breaking success of Pushpa: The Rise opposite Allu Arjun. Beating Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sukumar's pan-India film turned out to be the biggest success of 2021. It even crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in Hindi belts. The actress, who played the role of Srivalli in Pushpa, is now being offered many interesting projects.

As per the latest buzz, Rashamika is in the race to bag director Gowtam Tinnanuri's next film featuring South superstar Ram Charan. Yes, you read that right! The upcoming movie is tentatively titled #RC16, however, nothing is yet confirmed. Touted as a sci-fi drama that revolves around time travel, Gowtam Tinnanuri’s directorial venture reportedly is yet to go on floors.

Also, rumours suggest that the makers were earlier considering Disha Patani. But, she turned down the role due to her commitment to other projects. Well, an official announcement regarding the film's leading lady is still awaited.

Coming back to Rashmika, she entered the entertainment industry with the Kannada film Kirik Party in 2016 and has delivered a number of successful films including Anjani Putra (2017), Geetha Govindam (2018), Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020), and Bheeshma (2020). Currently, she has Pushpa 2 and Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu in her kitty. The actress is set to make her Bollywood debut with Mission Majnu opposite Sidharth Malhotra and has also signed Goodbye co-starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Ram Charan, on the other hand, is waiting for the release of SS Rajamouli's much-hyped film RRR co-starring Jr NTR. The pan-India film is confirmed to hit the theatres on March 25 and also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles. His lineup also includes Koratala Siva's Acharya with his father Chiranjeevi.
