Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai’s short lived love story was a very public affair which met a sad ending. After she called it quits with Salman Khan, Vivek and she dated after they connected on a movie set. He was dating and engaged to Gurpreet and she used to accompany him on outdoor shoots as well. The two were madly in love and were even engaged. However, they abruptly broke up and it was rumoured that he moved on to Aishwarya. Gurpreet later dated Timmy Narang, who is now married to Isha Koppikar.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, she had later commented on his break-up with Aishwarya and her break-up with Timmy. “One of these two went well as long as it lasted. As for the other one....how the mighty have fallen from his heights. I feel sorry for the guy," she said.

Vivek held a public conference when he accused Salman Khan of misconduct and also claimed that he was threatened and abused by the actor, all of this happened because he was with Aishwarya at that time.
