The year 2022 will surely belong to DC as it seems they are finally on course to catch up to the box office juggernaut that is the rival Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).  

Recently, DC took to social media and released a minute long teaser giving a never seen before glimpse at four of their highly anticipated upcoming films - The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.  

However, the highlight of the teaser is the new footage of Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson in the titular role.

The teaser finally gave us our first look at the Justice Society of America featuring Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman, Noah Centineo’s Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell’s Cyclone and former James Bond Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate.  

We also got a better look at how Dwayne Johnson will be seen as the anti-hero Black Adam.  

Besides that, we saw Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in a black suit and sitting on his throne in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

The Batman footage featured a glimpse of a few seen and unseen shots. 

As for The Flash, we got a better look at the new suit and also voiceover by Michael Keaton’s Batman, who is making a comeback to the iconic superhero role after 30 years.

Reacting to the teaser, one fan wrote, “#BlackAdam might seriously end up being the best film The Rock has ever made in his life.”  

Another wrote, “I thought Dr. Fate in Smallville was awesome for the time but on a bigger budget and a more grand scale, I’m so pumped to see one of my favorite DC characters get his due on the big screen! #BlackAdam”.  

One tweet read, “DC Heroes Unite! 2022 is going to be a banner year for DC on the big screen. Be excited! #TheBatman - March #BlackAdam - July #TheFlash - November #AquamanAndTheLostKingdom - December”.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman starring Robert Pattinson is slated for a March 4 release. It will be followed by Black Adam that will release on July 29.  

The Flash directed by Andrés Muschietti, the Ezra Miller starrer will be out on November 4.
