Bappi Lahiri, the celebrated singer and composer, is no more. He passed away at the age of 69 at a Mumbai hospital. Also known as the 'Disco King' of Bollywood, Lahiri reportedly had multiple health issues and breathed his last due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea).

Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, who was treating him, told PTI, "Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. But his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor to visit their home. He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight".

Ever since the disheartening news came out, Bappi Da's fans are in shock. Taking to social media, they mourned his loss and even shared some memories attached to the legendary artist and his superhit music.

A user wrote, "I'm just 19, I remember vibing on many of his songs like I'm a disco dancer. Not just me, even my parents vibed too during their childhood. May his soul rest in peace".

Another user tweeted, "I loved his music. Used to sing his songs for my GF in college. You'll be missed forever Bappi Da". A third tweet read, "#BappiLahiri was responsible for my love affair with the most catchy Bollywood bops. Another piece of childhood lost. Rest now & bling it up, Bappi da".

Fondly called Bappi Da, the veteran was known for delivering many hit songs and his love for gold. He composed music for various popular films including Disco Dancer, Sharaabi, Himmatwala, Dance Dance, and Shola Aur Shabnam. Some of his memorable songs are Tamma Tamma, Yaad Aa Raha Hai, I'm a Disco Dancer, Tune Maari Entriyaan, Ooh La La among others. Apart from his songs, Bappi Lahiri was also famous for his stylish look that consisted of gold chains, sunglasses, and cardigans.   

Well, he will be missed by everyone. May his soul rest in peace!
