Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited magnum opus Gangubai Kathiawadi released yesterday and has attracted some good reviews from critics and fans alike. The movie helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is obviously grand and made on a budget of over Rs 100 crores, which means the money spent on paying the talent was also a heavy amount.

Talking about the salaries drawn by the cast of the big movie, here’s a look at the crores spent by the production and earned by the actors:

1. Alia Bhatt- As per reports, the main lead of the movie playing the titular role was obviously the highest paid and was paid over Rs 20 crores for her portrayal of Gangubai. 

2. Ajay Devgn- The superstar who was also a part of SLB’s Hum Dil De Chukey Sanam, played a small but an important role in this one as well. As per a DNA report, he was paid a whopping Rs 11 crores for his screen time.

3. Vijay Raaz- The super talented actor who has impressed his fans with the variety of roles he’s picked, is playing Raziabai in this movie. As per reports, he was paid around Rs 1.5 crore for this one.

4. Shantanu Maheshwari- The TV actor known for his dancing skill made his dream debut in this film. He plays the role of Gangubai’s love interest and was paid around Rs 50 lakh for the film.

5. Seema Pahwa- The veteran actress has taken a fresh leap of risk with choosing a darker shade for this film and has been reportedly paid around Rs 20 lakh for the film.
