Xiaomi May Launch The Highly Anticipated Redmi Note 7 Pro In India & Here's Everything We Know

Xiaomi has been constantly launching new phones in the Indian market and its aggressive stance has already won it the number one spot in terms of sales.

The brand has managed to create a name for itself in the budget and midrange segment and now intends to double down on its efforts.

2018 witnessed the launch of new phones from every brand, every couple of months. The Redmi Note X Pro line-up has been extremely successful in the country, followed by Android One powered Mi AX series.

Now, we're looking forward to the Redmi Note 7, and Note 7 Pro. The company also has a third device in the making, more on that later.

Redmi is now a separate sub-brand of Xiaomi and its first phone is the Redmi Note 7 that has already been launched in China. The Redmi Note 7 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340x1080 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM options along with 32GB and 64GB storage options.

On the rear is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor along with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The front has a 13-megapixel shooter for selfies. It's powered by a 4000mAh battery along with Quick Charge 4 support.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro hasn't been officially announced yet, but we do know it'll pack a 48-megapixel lens on the rear and will be powered by Snapdragon 675 SoC. There is a possibility Xiaomi may use an AMOLED panel on this phone.

Lastly, a third phone dubbed the "Redmi Go" shall be launching along with the other two. According to leakster Ishan (https://twitter.com/ishanagarwal24/status/1086550767014760448), the three phones shall be launched together in the first quarter of 2019. While the information on Redmi Go's specifications is scarce, it's sure to be an entry-level phone running on Android Go.

Android Go is a highly optimized OS built for phones with less than 1GB RAM. The Go edition also comes with a flurry of new optimized Google apps that are light on both memory and storage. These include Google Go, Google Assistant Go, and Files Go, among many others.

Google Go redesigns Google Search, reducing the search-as-you-type app to its bare essentials; this Lite version weighs in at less than 5MB in size.
