ITBP Jawans Hoisting The Indian Flag At 18,000 Ft. In Minus 30 Degrees Deserves All Our Respect

For most of us, Republic Day has become just another holiday where we spend time with our friends and family members or just make good use of a national holiday. But, for our brave soldiers, it's an emotion that is far greater than anything else in the world. Today, a perfect example of this was showcased by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans in Ladakh.

The jawans, who not only put their lives on the line to protect us, also fight some of the worst weather conditions on a daily basis. Yet, nothing deters them from coming forward, and in this case, show how much they love their country.

At a height of 18,000 feet and not at 0 or minus 10, but minus 30 degrees; a group of 14 ITBP jawans hoisted the Indian flag high to celebrate the Republic Day.

While one jawan held the flag high with the clear sky in the backdrop, others stood behind him in a perfect line, in the backdrop of snow-clad mountains in Ladakh.

People say, "A picture is worth more than a thousand words", but this beautiful picture is an epitome of patriotism and courage. We salute their spirit.
