Vicky had to undergo his fair share of struggles before making it big in Bollywood. He started his journey by assisting Anurag Kashyap on 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' and worked his way up until people believed that the guy could really act.
Not many are aware that Vicky is the son of one of the most famous stunt directors in Bollywood, Shyam Kaushal, but that did not necessarily spell out success for him. His journey has been his personal struggle.
In a recent interview, Vicky was asked to read and comment on some of the remarks made by people on social media. While there were many compliments for him, some were plain harsh words. One comment read as follows
“He doesn't have hero face...a common punjabi ladka yes but he has filmy background bas utna hi kaafi hai aaj bollywood me." Vicky had a very thoughtful reply to it and said “Okay, so apart from the last line, 'utna hi kaafi hai Bollywood mein,' I think there's nothing wrong in what he said. I don't have a filmy face or a hero face."
However, Vicky was not okay with being accused of nepotism and was quick to react to that statement with a justified answer. "Sir, you are most welcome in Bollywood and try and survive a week and we will have a cup of coffee together and I will ask you the same question," he said.

'Uri' has already crossed the 200 crore mark and his previous outings, 'Raazi', 'Manmarziyaan' and even his role in 'Lust Stories' have been a major hit with the audience. While we get that the air of nepotism is very strong in Bollywood, maybe Vicky is not a by-product of that factory after all.
